@sparsh, FYI Jazz and Punto are direct competitors.
How come you are telling that they belong to different segments?

Jazz, GP,i20 and fabia are surely competitors and if toyota get their small car too would compete in this segment.

Being an enthusiast, the GP is best suited for me. I donot need all that practicality, especially at the cost of driving dynamics.

i think the difference between honda jazz and GP would be the same as the difference between Honda city and linea. both good in their own sense. depends on the consumer what he wants from his machine.

i agree @hummer. It will be like, who wants what kind of a vehicle.

yes but i believe the key factor would be pricing of GP, else you would see honda takeover the market no matter what price they offer cause people do spend for Honda brand and fiat along with in same price league will have tough time then.

yes if they can price the GP lower than Jazz like they have done with Linea, they have hopes.

yup pricing would be the key for GP to do good in market and also their ASS and spares too which still i believe are on higher side.

we have two clear options with jazz and GP,
jazz has a good ASS, GOOD reliability, spares available easily, but the only thing bothering is its price and with the GP we have nice everything but ASS is the worst thing and its priced less, so its either go for the jazz spending a bit more and having peace of mind later or grab the GP for a less price tag and adjust with the ASS and by chance if some thing happens to the car and you need to replace something, and if the parts arent available then you will be having tough times

Also to add here is the resale value of Honda after say 5-7 years would be always on higher side compared to Fiat.

yup, i agree to what you say, FIAT doesnt have any resale value

and say that GP is priced some 40-50k cheaper to jazz still honda would sell as dont expect much difference then this much in both these vehicles so in all still honda seems to be winning here, with that extra amount spend gives peace of mind with ASS,reliability everything which is bit difficult for Fiat here, looking at general buying mindset of our market, unless fiat gives some mouthwatering price tag with all added features along with.
