Re: Mahindra Xylo
@ Fihast, VFM is one thing, but when u do stupidity, its another thing. Instance - 1) Not providing Mud-Flaps, which are standard fitment even for lowly Mahindra - Champion & Pick-ups, 2) Not even providing slots for fitting the Mud flaps - one has to drill holes into body for fitting mud flaps, 3) Why can't floor mats be provided ??? 4) What about an Antenna??? Only provided in E6 & E8, as its merged with defogger @ Rear Glass.
These are small things which barely cost a drop to the company, but tarnish its reputation hugely - CHINDIGIRI TO THE MAX!!!
-2nd POST-
Got the accessories fitted yesterday:-
1) Floor Mats - Finally ones which are perfectly cut in the desired shape & covering entire floor.
2) ICE - Pioneer DEH5050UB, 2 X JBL - 608C FRONT + 2 X JBL - S265 REAR, Internal Antenna
3) Custom Stiched Leather Art Seat Covers, which are now Fixed Fitted to the Seats, with personalised colour combo.
Pics coming up
As for the dity insert colours, check the inner door handle inserts, front door bottle holder inner colour & glove box interior colour - in black interior models (just realised that your interior is brown too, so its absent there) hope you understand then what i'm talkin about.....

Re: Mahindra Xylo
Forgot to add, also got a pair of STEBEL TM80 Magnum horns installed, just love their sound. Had installed them in 3 of my earlier cars as well.. A good horn is a MUST for driving in India.

Re: Mahindra Xylo
@vlad , now i understand what you said. espescially not providing a mud flaps or atleast the slots, i heard flaps cost only below 200, but didn't want to drills touch my car now itself. and not providing floor mats very cheap, as they had all these including four pillows with 'xylo' imprinted on it in their display vehicle, I had axpected all these.
How much did the floor mats and horn cost?
as you said in brown interiors this matches well.(but i had seen what you said in tbhp forums. looks very terrible)

Re: Mahindra Xylo
Lol, better late than never......
Fihast, I have retained the OEM Horns too, FYI - they are 'ROOTS' horns, design copy of the Bosch Ones..... Yeah, I put in a switch to play either the OEM Horns or the Stebels..... Switch is the regular 'Anupam' brand Black Piano Switch, which i tried to fit in the blank provided next to the Fuel Flap Swicth, but since the plastic was touch to cut, I got it installed in the blanks below the Hazard Lamp Switch..... Will take pic & put it up later...

Re: Mahindra Xylo
I tried installing the tweeters too in the space provided by the company, but they wern't fitting there due to the mirror cables fouling & so placed them at extreme corners of the dashboard,
Fihast, are you happy with the sound of the OEM ICE???

Re: Mahindra Xylo
vlad, it's of acceptable quality, yet i prefer a some extra bass, so will install a bass tube soon. but, the probe is if iget it fitted from my usual shop, they will be eager to remove everything for wiring, but will they be able to fit it back as before?. I'm sure they've never done it before on a xylo. mine will be a guinea pig for them. so may be during first service i'll have it installed between the captain seats.

Re: Mahindra Xylo
Yeah, thats always the case with new vehicles, its better to wait a while before getting such fitments done, just so that they know what they are doing! Are you going for the JBL Bass Tube? Are the prices reasonable or expy in your part of the world?

Re: Mahindra Xylo
I have one already with me, which was fitted in my estilo, i had fitted it in a plug and play style, so that when there is excess luggage i can remove it easily. now i'll have the same way in xylo too. It's Auto Elettronika brand. good quality price 3000/-.
