The Head Unit is a very weak part.
    Get something from Pioneer instead.

For the rear, get 6x9. JBL 938.
    Excellent Ovals :)

Suggest a good head unit then & quote its price, as for ovals, don't want to cut 'n chop door sections or put them ovals in enclosed boxes as they will come in the way

I'll advice you the following in that case.

Pioneer HU - 3050/3190/4190 or similar. - Whichever has 2 preouts and is around 5.5k
    JBL GTO 608c- 3.9k
    JBL GT5-S265- 2k
JBL GT5-S422- 2 channel amplifier, powering only the fronts - around 3k or something.
    Wiring etc-1k

    Around 15-16k total.

They will be a bit on the higher side.
    3050 is the older series.
3150/4150 are pretty similar apart from a few features like preouts etc.
I'd suggest to amplify the front as you are more inclined in a better front stage.
    It helps a lot.
If not, let it pass for now.

Its better to have similar brands for fronts and rears.
You get the same kind of sound.

Plus JBL is Value for Money.

Try to get 4050, it is better than 3050. We have both in our car, and there is a noticeable difference in both.

Both those things were bought in different time, almost 7 months. I don't remember the exact price, but i guess there was a difference of Rs. 800 between both.

You are not going to control anything via pendrive, so let it stay cool in the glove compartment.

    Got the ICE installed yesterday:

    Pioneer - 5050UB
    JBL608C - Front
    JBLS265 - Rear
    Internal Antenna

As for the JBL 2 Ch amp, will install it at a later date

So far so good, JBL have amazing clarity, each musical instrument can be heard seperately & clearly....
