Toyota Innova: The cars looks more like a minivan. However it was designed keeping the modern family in mind, who prefers to go on long drives on a lazy sunday.
This cars got versatility with all the goodies packed inside. It maybe a little large but once at the wheel you get a sense that your in good control of the car. Also sitting on any of the chairs is like sitting on the living room sofa. Looks are simple but it has a strange beauty in its simplicity. When driving this You feel that you can go from point A to B in a safe and luxurious environment. The car is ideal for long romantic drives with the wife...that is unless you have noisy kids on the back seat...or if the wife is a complete hoot who questions your driving skills. Also the car is incredibily noiseless for the people inside... you get a sense of nirvana while in this car. Toyota cars are known for their reliabilty and luxury and the Innova has'nt disappointed.
Mahindra Xylo: Another versatile machine from the house of the UVs. India's 1st homegrown MPV, that even gave the foreign MPVs a run for their money. The xylo is perhaps the only Car to have offered 2 flat beds...which might come in handy whenever you have a fight with the wife and she throws you out of the bedroom. Mahindra practically threw in everything except the kitchen and the bathroom. Some car critics say that the car also has better off-roading capabilities than the Gypsy, which means you can pretty much go camping with a partner and you know that you dont require a tent because you already have 2 beds in the car. Although its huge and I mean huge, it appears marginally bigger then the Scorpio, it handles satisfactorily well, with already 5000+ bookings we can understand the Indian sentiment with this car. However its looks are a bit awkward to say the least, it appears more like a fat lady wearing skinny jeans but overall its a great car + its homegrown...what will they think of next?
Still I can't decide which is better, so I'll let you guys decide for me. 8)
