Re: Mahindra Xylo
yes it's shorter than innova's bonnet, but not as short as it feels in the image.

Re: Mahindra Xylo
The bonnet is actually a bit short. Its height making it look like too short. But all these things will get used to us soon, i believe. But i seriously doubt what Mahindra thought while designing this? sorry if it offends Xylo owners, other looks i like almost every aspect in this car.Road Rocket wrote:Nice pics fihast, Xylo's bonnet looks too short!

U're right RR, infact the bonnet is short and the height espescially back is too much. it should be shorter at back for a good aerodynamic effect i hope.
yet indians have started loving it already 12,000 bookings in 2 and half months for a just introduced model. so for time being it's a success of Mahindra. In fact it seems their previous customers had their hands too in designing it.

:affraid: whoa man thats expensive for a routine checkup other than its regular services, whats your 10k service bill then??
@ crazycat, thackervijay & vlad: my innova is 50,000 kms old now, so every 5000 kms service, they advise me to replace some minor parts here & there. also, i prefer my car to be in perfect condition, hence i get it serviced every 5000 kms, as per their recommendation.
@ vlad: hey buddy, why dont you start an ownership thread of your xylo with pics?

Re: Mahindra Xylo
@ Fihast & Others .... Mine is E4-Java Brown
had a short trip to lonavla & beyond today, A/c was in high mode front & back, wasn't very satisfied with the cooling, though it was hot outside.... had a hard time stickin to 2k revs, barely crossed 100 at times.... so boring!

Re: Mahindra Xylo
@thackervijay: I had booked 8 seater , but later changed to seven seater (captain seats). Now feel that was a good decision. Just a small upholstery work can make a portable seat in between captain seats and the handrests lifted can act as back rest, when there are extra passengers.

Re: Mahindra Xylo
@Vlad, Sad to see such minor mistakes by Mahindra but I must say that now they have very much improved from earlier.

Re: Mahindra Xylo
@Fihast I know y ur askin 4 that pic..... the E8 has a diff console compared to the other E models..... will take a pic of the console & post it later....
As for the mis handling part, i dunno how one can manage to 'mishandle' & cause damage the way it has in my vehicle. Its just poor attention to detail, thats all..... Since I was at the dealership today, I checked out variuous Xylo's whether they have such a problem. Also observed that E8 has different typr of Handbrake Slot Rubber Gaskets, which are better designed in the sense that they doon't come in the way of the lever.
By the way, got the oil leak fixed today, they opened the rear portion of the gearbox & changed the faulty oil seal, lets hope I don't face that kind of 'leaky' problem again As for the Handbrake Slot Rubber Gasket, I will have to make another trip to the workshop when it arrives.

Re: Mahindra Xylo
Well the company has done some 'chindigiri' allright.... Worst thing is the colour of the inner sides of the door trim recesses in the E8 models, dirty purple colour...... thank God its only in E8! ;)

Re: Mahindra Xylo
@vlad, no yaar i din't find any purple colour in my E8, i think it's in E6. by the way what is 'chindigiri'?

Re: Mahindra Xylo
'chindigiri' i think means cheapness!
mahindra has always gone a bit overboard in the styling department. it should also know that sometimes simple looks elegant.

@raj, that's right. and as for xylo, i think they have done max for such an amount that is good VFM. but whatever they've delivered theyshould have done without damages.
