Some problems like the 1st service reminder really made me laugh. Here one of the service station of Maruti(only one) insists to service the car every 5k kms, but the manual says 10k kms. Service people should have atleast these limited knowledge.

Hope they respond to your problems, as this reply letter is just a formality.

I am so very happy today with the response of  FIAT INDIA. I had told Mr. Mangesh Kodalkar about above problems (Got his ID from Team bhp) as he is a senior person in Fiat.  Wanna know the response, the OWNER of Techno Auto called himself and apologised for everything atleast 10 times and requested me to recall the name of the person who told me service is due at 1000 kms. I couldnt recall so told him to take care next time. He again apologised for the mistake and said he will find out from telephone records who did this silly mistake and will keep me updated. He also left his PERSONAL mobile number and told me to directly contact him whenever i have any problem. What a service lol, am so very happy, hope FIAT keeps these standards and they will surely succeed with this. I didnt get such a reponse even when i contacted Hyundai.

U'll laugh more when i'll share my experience. I was working as Asst. sales manager with one of the Maruti Dealership. Once my subordinate was attending a customer who had an enquiry abt Alto. He was interested in standard Alto but sales exec was trying to push Alto LXi. He told customer that LXi comes with power sterring. Customer asked wats the use of that? He promptly replied with confidence, "Sir, it reduces turning diameter".
On other instance, he was attending a customer working in Dehradun planning to buy a Swift for his son in Mumbai. Customer argued that Swift is much cheaper in Dehradun compared to Mumbai. This chap told him, " Sir, this Swift is different than the one sold in Dehradun. Dehradun ones come with smaller tyres and lack in features". I had to interfere,"No sir, in Mumbai we have Octroi of 4% and other taxes too are high in Mumbai compared to other cities."

 Very funny. I've seen many who would say PS reduces turning radius. But the Swift thing was somewhat strange 🤢 .

    haha!Really very funny abhijit! :lol!:
About power steering, As cc said, It doesn't reduces turning radius but it helps the steering to give lighter feel so that it can be turned easily.

Hahahahah, abhijeet good one.Swift one was the best, some salesman are really dumb for eg TATA-FIAT. My friend went to TD linea at Sanya motors and he asked salesman to operate Automatic climate control. Salesman said "Sir, i dont know how to operate it, just press whichever buttons you wish to and see what happens". This is what happens when technology comes in the hands of  Tata people. On my LINEA : No updates friends. Its in body covers, driving Scorpio for 2 days now. Difficult to adjust one day in a Suv and next day in a Sedan but am loving my new car though miss the punch of Scorp's raw power.

What?Thats really very very surprising! 8O
The salesmen don't even know how to operate CC, Don't know what has happened to company's HR Team, This shows what kind of people they are recruiting.

Friends i need your advise,Linea has the poor Goodyear GT3 tyres fiited on it which come from factory. They make hell lot of noise when car goes above 100 especially on grainy roads where tarmac is not smooth. I also heard horror stories about JK and Goodyear's bursting while driving  :afraid: What to do now, are the tyres allright or should i plan a change? It would be a hard time convincin dad for switchover.

Friends i bought a DIGITAL TYRE PRESSURE gauge from online shopping site.
The problem is i dont know how to use it. When i connect it, i hear sound of air (hiss) so does it mean that air comes out of the tyre when the gauge is connected? How to use it, is it a wastage of 500 bucks as it seems lot of air is coming out. Help me.Does anyone here use the same type of thing.

    Hi coolboy!
Don't worry its not a waste of your money, I haven't used it though but i think that sound is normal, Yes the air comes out of tyre but it also comes in the gauge which petrol pump guys have, Why don't you check its user's guide it might help you. :)

@ Vibhor,USER GUIDE?? Its India and that was from Ebay. Thank my stars that i got the product working. I searched on net and people have said to use some force while connecting with the valve of the tyre to stop letting air come out. Will try in evening again. Seems my tyres will be flat by the time i learnt how to use lol.

I have the analog one and it is pretty accurate.
Got the air filled and check one hour later and it showed 30.

I did not go for the digital one as i found no point going for digital when the analog one was available.

Tyre size is 195/60 R 15 right? Have same size for my Optra Magnum and was planning to shift to Goodyear ones. But now have to reconsider it. I had poor experience from Apollo as well (2 tyres of my car developed bubble on sidewall). Bridgestone are cheaper and perform better but still not perfect!

Abhinav,Well tell me one thing. I bought a digital one as thought it will be a little more funky and easy to read, nothin much after that. Well do you put a lot of force when connecting the gauge and do you hear some hissing sound when you connect, am hearing hissing sounds when i connect meaning some air is lost but the seller said after a few days i will be perfect in connecting that gauge and anyways that hissing for 3-4 secs wont lose more that 0.20-0.30 psi. Any views?

In all my other cars bridgestones came factory fitted and am way happy with them. Goodyear, please dont buy, lot of tyre noise and they are notorious for that. Many have mentioned it on other forums. Michelin energy series are also good i heard.

exactly of the best tyres CB, if you want to upgrade her shoes go for michelinXM1+ or you can also go for Yokohoma S drives or even D drives both are good but first choice would be S drives.
