Just came back friends, went to Najafgarh today, workshop is in a peculiar place though its the biggest in North Delhi. They Connected my car to their so called 10 lacs ka machine (Diagnostic tool) and were on a phone talking to some other man who had been appointed by FIAT at the service centre but he had left the service centre :frustration: ... Problem finally solved and they gave me back my keycard, hope its the correct one lol.
Avg speed for whole trip was 32km/h. Mileage meter now reads 12.2 with AC at 23-24 and a total of 250+ km including 112 at delivery time. Suspension is working well as you can judge what the roads may be when speed is 32km/h. I dont know why but my car is shutting off again and again? Maybe i need time to settle on a Linea after owning a Scorpio for 2 years or is there any problem?? Linea wants more REVVS :D
As promised, photos tomorrow and some interior shots by night ofr sure.

Obviously it wants more revs.
the engine is a 1.4 engine as compared to the 2.6 on your scorpio
12.2 seems very decent considering its a fiat which is known for bad fuel efficiency of its petrol engines.

When we are used to driving Diesel vehicles which hardly needs revs while taking off, it does happens that engine stall while driving petrol cars. Petrol cars needs more revs to take off. You'll get used to it with time.

My petrol doesn't need to many revs either :P
A turbo helps. :D

@ Archit,
Thanks bro. First, i wanted the Flamenco red colour but then my dad explained me that it would be prone to scratches and dust. So then we settled for silver. Now, i am loving this colour :D

Yeah, Silver is the safest bet to avoid dust and scratches.
What did you give to the salesman finally?

Well drove here another 50 kms today with some 10 kms spent in the ugly delhi traffic jams. 3rd gear is from where she feels good. 1st and 2nd are too short. Hadling is superb, at 85 km/h, threw Linea into a turn on a flyover and could feel the hadling is just awesome.Steering is good and i personally dont love the EPS as its too light which takes away all the feel of driving. Just loving the car day by day.
ODO now starts at 310 and Avg Fuel consumption meter stands at 11.7 kmpl with AC at 24. ( it fell from 12.1 yesterday to 11.7 today because i was driving instead of dad :frustration:.. I demand more from the engine than dad and hence the result). Anyways 11.7 with Ac is not bad at all for a car weighing 1260 kgs.
Tomorrow, going to get Sunfilms on my car and if i find nice seat covers will get that done too.
@ Crazy cat,
Thanks yaar. I presented him with 1kg kaju burfi as he didnt take what i offered him to drink
@ Hummer freak
Ok, i will get a clear pic of my steering wheel.

Hey coolboy congrats on your new Linea. Its really an awesome car( I have had a TD of the diesel version) and by far the best in the segment today. Even my dad loves the Linea and wants to buy it when he gets the oppurtunity to.
Nice pics also. But try not to stretch the engine for the first 1000kms to help the engine run-in. Also try and use BP SPEED petrol as it really brings the engine to life and also provides good FE.
By the way, aren't sunfilms banned?

I heard some negative reviews about using fuels with additives like Speed, Turbo, Xtra,etc.. Some car makers even recommend against its usage. Better stick with ordinary fuel.dcargod wrote:Hey coolboy congrats on your new Linea. Its really an awesome car( I have had a TD of the diesel version) and by far the best in the segment today. Sunfilms aren't banned. We can install them, as long as the visibility is not affected, way below the norms. But who is catching dark tinted cars?
