i saw a nano on the road with a tat executive driving it, it looked good, better than the matiz and guess what
it sounds like a TATA mini truck "chota hathi" :frustration:

dont tell me this buddy, what mini truck, isnt a good news for nano , if engine is making such noise, infact all other auto gurus and magazines have rated it impressive with the overall drive,space as well as engine.

im sorry but it does sound like this mini truck, i like the car but i dont really like the sound of it, maybe changing the exhaust may fix this problem :stupid:

Thackervijay, Napster is right, Nano does sound as this mini truck and keep those "Auto Gurus" Aside!What ever new car comes, Firstly they say all good about it but real things comes after sometime and we should not forget that this is the case of much hyped "TATA NANO!"

I second vibhor. What ever the car may be, first you'll receive the positive review only. And that too for a much hyped car like nano, you can expect these over positive reviews. No one has brought the heating rear seats into light till now.

o yeah exaclt, it had the engine right under the rear seat, im never gonna sit in the rear if i get the car in the draw:D

TATA RECIEVES 2 LAKH BOOKINGS FOR NANO!

Finally the numbers are out, Tata Motors has said that it has received at least 203,000 bookings for the Nano. The bookings represent about 17 percent of the 1.22 million passenger cars sold in India. Out of the total bookings, 70% were financed and the rest were on application through cash payment. The bookings amount to almost Rs2500 crores. Significantly, 4,000 cash bookings were made online through www.tatanano.com. The Tata Nano website recorded 30 million hits from the date of launch of the car to the closure of the booking period (25 April, 2009), receiving nearly 1 million hits a day. About 14 lakh people walked into Tata Motors’ showrooms, Croma and Westside stores across the country, the company statement said. Out of the total bookings, the base version accounted for 20% of the bookings, followed by the CX variant at 30% while the remaining 50% were for the top-end LX variant. Tata will begin deliveries in July 2009 and are expected to be completed in the last quarter of 2010.

most of my friends were planning to get this car and put rubber shields all over it and play dashing cars :lol:

yeah think best is to wait till tata launch and start exporting europa nano, and then might come up with new version of nano say by 2010 or so, till then it would be tried and tested with first phase of nano and then would be sorted out all problems and solved and come out with better model later on which is the history with tata vehicles.

I'll never go for Nano, but i will go for Europa, like i always said. Or at least like vijay said, will wait for new version with problems sorted out.

the europa version's headlights are 200times better than the indian version of nano

napster, its just not lights, but overall styling, rubbers, alloys lights many more things along with abs,airbags which are necessary for even its base model.

But the difference is very high. Body colored bumpers are quite reasonable. But Roof spiler and body kit cost a bomb.

20,000 for the alloys?? such a tiny alloy and 20,000 :affraid:

sub is ok, but what about the alloys in that package??
i wonder how it looks with a roof spoiler and bodyskirts, also some cosmetic additions like, neons , strobe lights, etc etc :scratch:
