Estimated Ex-showroom price is 80 lacs. Add to it 14% for registration and insurance, the on-road price goes well beyond 90 Lakhs. That makes it well costlier compared to competition (Q7, M-Class, X5, etc). But the advantage is 4.5 V8 Diesel. I think this could be launched under Lexus brand which is percieved to be a notch higher than Toyota. Paying such high price for Toyota is unjustified. We shall wait for the launch though to know the exact pricing and features available.

That's priced very highly, IMO. I think it is because of CBU.

Even IMO, the Toyota Land Cruiser diesel will be very expensive, nearly overshooting the Q7's price, yet not belonging to the class of Q7.

The price is too high but then a v8 deisel and toyota service backup is an added advantage.

yes audi, bmw, merc are in line up for toyota;s new launch, so with that price tag not going to be easy for toyota to sell that, and as CC they hope they dont end up like camry's market.

The only thing Toyota can do is launch the Land Cruiser under the Lexus brand name. No one will go for such an expensive Toyota. It doesn't have that image as of yet to price vehicles so high.

Dude Q7 does not stand anywhere around a LANDCRUISER in terms of OFFROADABILITY. Not talking about the snob value.
Its the best S.U.V suited for deserts and tough hill climbs.

i agree, q7 is not really made for offroading, but where in india do we go for a proper off roading? and the appeal you get when you see a Q7 on road is great :P

even india has lots of scope for off roading as i explained in the thread related to 2WD and 4WD.
rest its true that most of the people will buy LC for snob value.

    And quite adventurous ones too.
