Landcruiser finally coming to India;Now Launched.

Hi Guys!
According to Times Of India, A senior Toyota India official said that they are planning to bring the Landcruiser this year in India.
It will come as CBU with 4.5 litre 300 BHP diesel engine. :D

The rear look is not very impressive to me. It looks very soft. Diesel option is a great benefit and any news about its expected price?

thats a welcome news vibhor dear.Those mighty LC's used to be imported under the import laws. If these come in as CBU's more of these will be seen a many prefer the LC for the Toyota excellence.

Yeah!Thats right anjan but CBU will result high price, It would be 40+ lacs. :)

yes guys this is one of the luxuries which is a good soft cruiser as well as a good off roader too, as a complete package. This is built on innova's plattform if i am not wrong. Diesel is a good move but it may be around 45-50L on road.

thackervijay, I think fortuner is on Innova's platform not this one.

@zinam, not that I didnot like its looks. I like its front-end, it has great presence. But the rear is somewhat soft.

oops yes sorry vibs, yes not this one but fortuner. thanks to clarify buddy. bonnet and lights seems like are compressed and that doesnt look that appealing, needs more muscular lines to appeal to me though.

LANDCRUISER DIESEL COMING IN JUNE!

Toyota is all set to unleash its diesel monster - LandCruiser diesel in India. Powered by a 4litre,V8 diesel engine which pumps out 286PS of peak power at 3600rpm and a massive 650Nm of torque at 1600rpm. A 6-speed automatic transmission and 4WD (four wheel drive) is sure to increase its appeal. However, the excise duty structure for CBU will make the costiliest toyota in India more pricier. LandCruiser diesel might be priced around Rs80 lakh and compete with the likes of Audi Q7, BMW X5 and Mercedes M-Class. Will the buyer favour Toyota over these luxury brands is yet to be seen!

waiting to see this on roads here. i thought it was available here seeing it. may be imported one. there are lots of vehicle in it's sector which have not seen indian roads. hope all those lands here soon.

Yes fihast, Those were imported Land Cruisers, I'm too waiting for this car but i doubt whether it would be able to beat Cayenne, Q7 etc.

The chrome grille found in first page makes it look like a China car. But on the next pics, they aren't bad. Can anyone spot the difference?

this would be interesting.

My frnd who works in Toyota dealership informed me y'day itself. And he also also promised to show this beast to me once it comes to his showroom. But only after the official launch. Lols.

This will be, after a long time, something to watchout for.
