Zotye Caught Testing A Crossover

Zotye was caught testing a Crossover, which we assume is the Nomada. Looking at the smoke colour we predict the car has a diesel engine, though elctric versions are also available.
At our first glance, we felt if its the Honda CR-V from the rear but after closing in a bit further, we realised that its the Zotye under testing and out came the camera to click pictures. On seeing the camera, the driver of the crossover came to a standstill.

That is the thing you can expect from a Chinese manufacturer. I don't want this in our country.

It is chinese and it is small, if it is launched, expect a price of 4-6L and if it turns out to be of some worth, it may just dent hatchback sales.

Fit & finish look pretty good from the pics shown, are they coming on their own or as a JV with a local company?

For the first time Chinese did a good copying job and made it look better than original, except for something that sticks to the rear windscreen.

yuck! that maruti looks pathetic IMO. typically chinese.

I must say, we must all take tips from the Chinese on how to copy something. Would help a lot passing our exams. :lol:

Jokes apart, the interiors of the Chinese 800 look better than the current one and there is practically no other difference between the two. As far as the Nomad is concerned, it is also a copy of some Japanese SUV, and its interiors are decent at best. I donot want the Chinese manufacturers to fill our market with copies of our vehicles. It will probably be sold through the grey market. Just imagine, a Chinese Swift selling at Rs,2 lakh in the grey market. :frustration:

The Nomada looks like a 4 door Suzuki Jimny, i wanted to point out that the Chinese 800 also has airbags......:lol: :affraid:

Are you sure that this car is on test???i'm still in doubt because its wearing a private No. Plate, Maybe this car is imported one.

i was just gonna say that it looks like a 4 door suzuki Jimny, chinese does know how to built perfect copy cars around the globe.

Now who would want to import a chinese car in India, it will be on test.

Nice spotting. So what should be this? Or may be the Chinese maker is doing a trial run here in an official manner? you see chinese, they might do anything.
