Wow great image vibhor. This image gives a clear idea about its looks. Not bad actually, as I feared earlier. Well it is better than Innova.

Hmm.. It looks not bad !

But i expected a trendy SUv & this looks like Modded Scorpio :(

exactly what i was thinking zinam, though is not looking that bad but seems like scorpio's muscular lines are cutted down, but still not that bad car.

I am bit disappointed with the look of the car, Its a mix of Hummer, Grande & Scorpio!!

I am really Sad that much hyped car of the year turned down like this :(

Thanks vibhor and vijay for the lovely pictures which say it all. So
the Xylo is launched. 2009 is a great year for launches.But I feel this
is the same Peugeot XD3P 2498 cc engine which they have common railed
earlier for the Bolero.The engine now comes as mEagle.The Scorpio's
2.2 L M Hawk, a lighter and a more powerful engine would have been
better in the higher end models. But obviously M&M are concerned
about costs.

why dont you think like this:

it has practical features like:
1) every individual has an AC
2) every individual has a reading light
3) seat backs have a folding tray
4) concealed cup holders
5) more spacious than innova
6) every individual has a amrest
7) the tripmeter shows average fuel consumption, digital speedo, inside & outside temp, time, range of vehicle with remaining fuel and pictures of gods/goddesses.

according to me, the interiors are very practical, more then the innova. the quality may be a bother though.
most importantly, MUVs sell because of their practical and spacious cabin, then their efficient engines. even the innova is not very stylish, its just that we have got used to its looks. but just see the number of innovas plying indian roads.

i think the xylo would be a hit.

all said and done, i feel the scorpio is still better even though i envy the xylo's fabulous interiors.

So, Finally much, much awaited model from Mahindra and Mahindra is launched!
Well, Personally speaking the car looks brilliant to me, its very similar to what i expected!M&M has given it very nice and new design and looks, its front looks quite aggressive and rear is all new, actually personallly speaking this is the first car i've seen in its segment with very properly designed rear!
its interiors are also looking superb!those beige one are even more nicer!..and no doubt it has good interior space as well!
I don't know whether it will be able to give a good competition to innova but Tata Sumo grande will have to face a tough time now!
Also, Its pricing is really very atttractive ..its base starts from just Rs.6,24,500!!..thats amazing for a MUV, also li'l features are available in base like P.windows etc etc!
All i will just say now is that great going M&M, we expect more good cars from you in future!All the best! :yup:
