well honda charges when they wash the car when my car goes for servicing but it is very less like only 60 rupees and they clean inside out including the leather upholstery!

Mahindra should add 'CHINDIGIRI' to their name...... Cotton Waste(Chindi) i can understand, but WD-40 is outta question!!! I suggest you write about your experience to the company. I'll give you the link:-
http://www.mahindrafeedback.com/
Be brutal with their survey & also write exactly what you thought about the whole experience. You will get an acknowledgement as well from them.

As far as washing is concerned, I usually tell the dealers not to do so, as 1) I'm always in a hurry to get the vehicle back ASAP, 2) 90% of the time they do a rubbish job & 3) They overcharge for the same, which can be done at half the cost & you can get the way you want it done at a simple service (washing only) station. Your lucky that they did a good job with your vehicle, as it rarely is the case.

After the delivery of my car, when i went through the service manual, i noticed that mahindra recommends you change the differential oil too at 20,000 kms. but it was not done in my car. so i called up the same service advisor the next day & he informed me that now mahindra uses 'synchroniser oil' for the differential & gearbox. this implies that the differntial oil will be changed only after every 40,000 kms.
today i went to the A.S.S for correcting the steering wheel tilt. they did it quickly in 5 minutes to my satisfaction. also, the good thing was, there was a minor scratch on my front bumper & rear bumper & a bigger scratch on the left rear cladding. they painted the entire left cladding for Rs. 1300 & painted the scratched portion of the front & rear bumper for free. they did a good job, i am satisfied.

Regarding you 20000km service, i think all the cars will get that high amount, especially CRDI engines, as the fuel filter alone costs a bomb in that. Recently 20000km on Swift done, they estimated 7000rs, i said it was too high and asked for some explanations on it, he said he'll call back after taking to some one. Then he estimated 5000rs and the final bill was around 5500rs. But considering the fact that the service interval is 10k kms, it is not that high.
Mahindra should be badly hit by recession, i guess, even here(for Logan) they charge for water wash, cotton, bolts, screws,etc.. :frustration: .
If possible, check your scorp's bill with Innova's. I'm curious to know about the difference in spares' cost.

Nice pics raj, especially the 4th. I feel that giving white bulbs for your parking lamps and Xenon(or blue vision) for your headlamps will further enhance visual appeal.

I just love those lights on the Reg. Plate of your scorpio raj.
They are connected with parking lamps right?

@ hummer freak: thanks buddy.
@ CC: i am not a big fan for xenon bulbs. i feel it blinds the oncoming traffic & i dont want to harass other road users. moreover, my driving is mainly within mumbai city limits where the streets are well lit, so i find these lamps sufficient. highway trips are mosty on the mumbai-pune express highway & it is even better lit! i usually travel on new highways at daytime, so xenons are not essential for me.
@ vibhor: thanks buddy. yes, they are connected to parking lights.
@ napster: why buddy? you dint like them? :) no, i dont know whether they are illegal. but why should they be? they illuminate the plate more than the normal lights. no cop has caught me for it till now, touch wood.

nice pics of scorp raj
i read somewhere that mahindra may buy hummer, talks are going on.
many bikers here have been caught for lighting their number plates with led, because the number couldn't be seen, But the number is more visible in scorpio's case, so there's nothing illegal i hope.

That's the fate of bikers. Cops catch only bikes, the case is more evident here, i'm not sure about Mumbai. They hardly catch cars, so shouldn't be a problem at all.fihast wrote:many bikers here have been caught for lighting their number plates with led, because the number couldn't be seen, But the number is more visible in scorpio's case, so there's nothing illegal i hope.

thanks buddy.
that would be great fihast.
meanwhile i have heard that mahindra has secretly built a 400cc 4 seater diesel car to compete with the nano. the project has been going on for past 1.5 years & the prototype has been built. top speed seems to be 60 kmph. pricing is said to be lower than nano. they say it can be launched in 3-4 months. to maintain secrecy, all developments were done outside india. i am not sure though. also, MODS, i cannot mention the source here, due to obvious reasons, sorry!
also, mahindra has taken over a company called 'engines engineering' from italy, 2 years back. nobody knew about this. this is a 2 wheeler company. i dont know why mahindra is so 'secretive'!!!
have a look at their website:

go to 'press', you will get the details.

If this comes true, then it must be another benchmark in Indian automobile industry. But top speed is too less. strict city car.raj_5004 wrote:thanks buddy.

Its a Mahindra and it will pull. All their engines are strong. Though pickup might be less in some vehicles but load carrying capacity has never been doubted. WHat to worry is the topspeed.napster wrote:this is all weird dude,a 400cc car?that too a 4seater?top speed 60kmph?
