hi vijay,
its just that the mHawk is used for my personal use, so i have taken the time & effort to add all the accessories. moreover, the mHawk is not subjected to rough treatment, like the CRDe.
the CRDe is used for my company use, its the roughie among the two! hence, i have kept it that way, a no-frill, a no-nonsense car. strictly meant to do its duty! which it does pretty well. infact, i respect the CRDe a lot, in its 1 lakhs plus journey, it has rarely seen paved city roads. it has always been admist non-existent roads at construction sites & highways- not the smooth GQ but to the remote places like the corners of maharashtra & gujrat. but till now it has not shown any signs of ageing. the body is perfect & engine runs as new. i gifted it new shoes 1 week back, on its second b'day!
the earlier tyres ran 1,10,000 kms! the kinds of roads it has been to, the tyre was pretty much in a terrible shape. i know that is risky but this car dint get the time to change her shoes! as i said, she is rarely in the city! she does not get time even for her routine services. but she has never complained. she has never broken down on above mentioned remote highways. she has never reminded us that we have skipped her past services! infact, she has never given us a reason to take her to the mahindra A.S.S.! hence, i respect her!
where i pamper the hawk, the CRDe gets all the beating & abuse! life's not fair!

yeah, but also there's not bull bars or even that regular chrome finish guards which i feel is a must for this huge vehicle, also share if you have driven its 4x4 terrain one, is that good to drive for city as well as off roading or just for off roading 4x4 is needed as i was travelling delhi, nainital i have seen many 4x4 scorpios there. Also i wanted to ask you that your bull bar on mhawk covers its middle portion where as usually bars are seen covering the whole front bumper, is that good enough??

What a tyre mileage of 1,10,000 kms?? Which brand tyres?

@ thackervijay: hi buddy. as i said, the CRDe was meant for rough use, hence we have not spent much on it apart from basic stuff. i have driven a 4x4 scorpio in karnataka once. it was fun & a great learning experience. though i am not aware of its true potential as the vehicle i drove was new & i had to be easy with it & i am not a seasoned off roader!
secondly, the bull bar i have fitted on my mHawk is a made to order one. i wanted it that way & its more for cosmetic purposes than to protect the bumper. i like this more than the steel guards which i think is very passe. i feel this sort of bull bars give the vehicle a more upmarket look compared to the ordinary steel bars. what say? and also, it receives a few glances on the road!!!
@ crazycat: JK Elanzo. we kept postponing the tyre change & in the end, the tyres were in a terrible shape! sorry scorp!

Thanks Raj, well no doubt that your made to order bull bar looks superb and upmarket and gives your vehicle upmarket looks, but wanted to know as usually those guards are fitted keeping in mind the size of scorpio and would save it scratching ,hitting from fronts on its headlamps, anyways yours looks cool as always, keep updating.CHEERS!!

@vaibhav, Well maintained Scorpio. I never knew Scorpio came in blue color.

it used to come. in two shades of blue. a very spooky blue when it was lauched initially. later they changed to this blue. however, even this is discontinued.

hiii @ raj , crazycat...
i agree with u that this color was not as successful as the white these days.... this is a 2005 model scorpio...after that mahindra introduced the scorp with crde engine in that sproty yellow colour... however i like this colour... it looks better than grey and silver shades which r even popular these days. Also i like meintion it here that scorpio is a very reliable car , our's has done over 1.5 lakkh km ... and i still enjoy it drive...engine is still smooth and its a great city car easy to drive....however maintenece sometimes proves expensive.... i have booked a new scorpio...and i am witing for the delivery... meanwhile here are some pics that i clicked when the car was brand new...
