Nissan to launch updated X-Trail in Mid 09!

Nissan plans to a give a much needed facelift to its ageing X-Trail SUV which is likely to be launched by Mid-2009. The new X-Trail promises to be more powerful and fresh with new interiors and exteriors compared to the existing version. :)

Exterior Changes

New bigger headlamps that lend a taller stance
Refreshed bumpers
Bolder wheel arches for a muscular touch
Refreshed rear with a larger tail-lamp cluster that gives a boxy appearance to the overall car design
Longer dimensions (175mm) and extended wheelbase (5mm)
New Tail gate design
Huge roof rails with path lights

Interior Changes


Instrument cluster is brought behind the steering wheel, which was earlier Centrally located(like in Chevy Spark and Tata Indica Vista)
Larger array of knobs and buttons around the driver’s seat to distract the driver!
Steering mounted audio controls
Vertical dashboard console expanded to accommodate new music system and GPS (Global Positioning System) unit
Flat-folding rear seats with more boot space.

X-trails looks are not good, even the car in this pics is also not so nice. The price is quite high. Limited service centres and Dealers. These are the field to be taken care. And only this will help the company. It is otherwise a good car.

True, But in the upcoming model there will be attractive new features, but all Nissan needs to do to sell its X-Trail is to price it correctly, because I feel that the current X-Trail is quite overpriced! :)

Hey I dont think so CC & Vibhor, You can find a lot of Nissan X-Trail in chennai.

But if the price would have been some what low, It could give dircet competetion to Outlander & CRV, the new package is really interestring for an SUV & it will be hit !

That's because Chennai has a dealership right? Nissan has only few dealerships all-over India. It has only 5 dealerships in India.

This is good news for xtrail lovers!!
But I think there are none!!
I lve this new car's interiors!!

new fresh looks are welcomed, but limited service availability across nation and its pricing needs to look at, which then can have a good compete with outlanders and crv's who are leading in their segments.CHEERS!!!
