Bajaj set to launch killer performance bike

There's good news for thirsting Indian performance bike enthusiasts. ZigWheels has confirmed reports of a new Bajaj performance bike which is through with its development and testing phase and is ready to be launched before the end of this month!
Details are thin and speculative, but we'd like to take our gamble and say that this will in all likelihood be a new bike from the company's Pulsar range. Given that the company has recently launched an upgraded 2009 version of the Pulsar 180 DTSi, we'd also go a step further to speculate that the new bike is likely to be aimed at a segment higher than this in terms of performance.
It is about time that Bajaj Auto resumed its battle in the premium performance bike space - one that it has dominated for the last few years with its Pulsar 200 DTSi and Pulsar 220 DTS-Fi. Yamaha India has however pulled off a quick one on the leader with two very competent launches over the last year in the form of the YZF-R15 and the FZ-16, which has now been upgraded to the FZ-S. The recently revealed TVS Apache RTR 180 will also be squarely in Bajaj Auto's crosshair.

I guess it is the new P220 carb version with top speed of 140kph and we already have a thread for it. Check this and tell whether both threads are for same bike or not.

ive been through that thread already but i dont thinks its the same because in this news it was mentioned that its a new bike from pulsar's segment but not a facelift, so i thought to post a new one

I don't know how far this news is true. But i tried to search in google and found this interesting. Xenophya, this designer company has listed Bajaj as one of it major clients and they designed the latest RE classic other than it. See the article below.


Motorcycle design consultancy Xenophya Design released images of their concept 250cc bike for Indian market at time of launch of their new studio in UK . Interestingly, the list of it’s major clients includes Bajaj Auto.

The much talked about new Pulsar 250cc single could be based upon one of these concepts. Xenophya is an exclusive motorcycle design studio based out of UK with a branch office in Hong Kong catering for their Asian clients. Over years, they have been building extensive relations with Indian motorcycle manufacturers including Bajaj Auto and Royal Enfield for whom they recently developed the Royal Enfield Bullet Classic.

The first and second concept image bear striking resemblance with the Bajaj Pulsar series leading to speculation that the new 250cc Pulsar may be based off one of these designs.

and second one looks like R15!

the second one looks more like the pulsar 220 to me
