Honda To Launch 100cc Bike

Competition is going to get tougher in the 100 cc now.

Honda Motorcycles India has plans to launch a 100cc motorcycle in the price band of Rs. 40,000-45,000. The new 100cc bike will be built on a completely new platform and will be positioned in the entry-level category. It is expected to be launched by the end of the current fiscal. Honda’s entry bike will be in premium category segment and will have a sporty look. The price gap between its model and Hero Honda would be marginal.

“We will be launching a completely new 100cc bike by the end of this fiscal. It will be a bit higher priced than the entry level bikes in the market now, but it will not be higher priced than the 125cc bikes,” said Shinji Aoyama, President and CEO, Honda Motorcycles India.

oh thats good news, though was expected HOnda two wheelers to comeup with 100ccbikes initially, but now instead, good wide choices options available for consumers.If they deliver what they claim of premium entry bike with sporty feel, surely going to make some heat in market.

Now the problem lies is production of all these bikes. Honda already struggles with manufacturing bikes. Honda bikes have relatively more waiting period than others. Unless they increase it, this 100cc bike will be a failure, with people assuming so as they don't see them much and sales figures will be less too. But it is a great thing for Honda, with limited production, they are at no. 2 in Indian market.

Every Honda will have a waiting period, as their production is less than required.

yes and they are already leading with their activa scooters in market, expect more waitlist for their new bikes too.
