well even i love hyundai. their cars are VFM. and i recently checked out getz and i'm in love with its gear shifts.never seen anything like that in such a low cost car. but still a korean cant really mach a japanese car.

Hey Anusha, welcome to TAI. its obvious that you loved the Jazz and have also booked one. I think Its Honda's clever engineering, packaging and that butter smooth engine that makes it so special. It truly does on this front. But I really think that at this price, it does become a bit unreasonable and as far as features are concerned, there are many more features present in other smaller hatches. The most glaring omission is that of the alloy rims. But then, if I were you, may be even I would have gone for the Jazz because of its sheer quality and cleverness. I only wish that its steering were a little heavy and the handling would match the character of the engine.

Lol its in the skoda octavia community. We discuss like everything there. The topic hit off bad. Cause seriously I hate hyundai. Only reason is they copy cars and its Korean. Hyundai lovers are gonna hate me for that topic but guys i have written facts there.

@ dcargod The steering becomes hard in high speed. Trust me it does. Handling is pretty good. Its got soft suspensions :( But the brakes are awesome. its got abs with ebd. Loved the braking a lot. If there is some word more than smooth that should be used for the Honda cars. I like it second after the german cars. They are kickass.

Yes yes the handling is really good. If anybody lives in hyderabad. they would know this road. the outer ring road has sharp turns and straight roads and the car at great speed was better than any small car i drove.

I must take the Jazz out on an open road then, and find out how it is. But I would anyday prefer the Grande Punto over the Jazz. They are mind blowing handlers. Fords, Audis, BMWs are awesome too. And I agree with you on Hyundai. The i20 looks to me like a shameless copy of the Merc SLK. There is no driving pleasure in this car. Interior quality is drab too.

also i20 lacks a lot on interior space. its good only for small sized people. dc lets check out GP also and then decide about which is better. as it is there's not much point in comparison as GP is in the i20 league.

P.S. did you also TD jazz dc?

Oh you should. Ask them that you wanna see how the car zooms, and if there are open roads near by you could have the time of your life with a small car.

Guys i dint like the grande punto so much. agreed its fiat!! but then the servicing is done by tata people. thats a real minus point. And also for a car tats priced 700k on road its got lesser horse power and torque. thats very disappointing. If it was atleast as much as the jazz i would have gone for fiat.

true. GP would be a good option for people who want a diesel. i dont think GP and Jazz would be in the same competition. although GP petrol will also sell as it would be cheaper than Jazz and low cost is what indians pray for. anyhow with Tata ASS the picture spoils.

Anusha, :Welcome: to TAI, good points you described for your jazz TD and also congrats on your new purchase, keep updating for your new ride in its related section.Yes Jazz is ultra smooth and superb handler in city but on highways i felt the steering too light on speeds as which should be heavier for more controlled ride.Surely there's no compariison for jazz with i20 or gp, as when me and hummer checked jazz first impression was this is of different league car and would change the hatchback market, but bit overpriced as our hatchback market isnt that matured to accept 8.5/-L hatchback, not saying it wont sell, given Honda anything would with their supperb engine and good ASS and of the best resale values for their cars.

Thank you. But i feel is not light when you are in high speed. But it isn't tat much of a highway car at all. Its good for city, Girls who love power, Saturday night racing i.e after you tune it. Which you can do a lot in this car. Its made by the tuners themselves. the japanese. :D :D

he he he yeah very true, even on road presence is altogether a different thing compared to all other hatchbacks we have till now, thats why i say it would change the hatchback mindset in our market.
BTW which colour did you opted and you went with topend option, then do get those side moulds too.

yup. you cant really go wrong with a honda engine. what i have noticed is that Honda doesnt know how to make a bad engine. they are incapable of producing a bad engine.

it would stand out. I dont see one road without atleast 5 hyundai small cars and 10 swifts.

Now they are planning to target the higher cars like Mercedes S class. they have come with a new car called Genesis. It looks like the lexus IS250 and grill and interiors from Mercedes. Best example i can give is. Sonata = Jaguar looks , Embera = Accord. Even the latest design has been copied.

yeah man we did saw that in practical whats the huge difference there is between these three companies, may be if we compare hyundai with japs yes they need to grow much more to match them and their products as well as quality.
