Maruti`s May 2009 sales up 15.75%

Car market leader Maruti Suzuki
India recorded 15.75% rise in its sales (including exports) for the
month of May 2009. During the month, the company sold a total of 79,872
vehicles in May 2009. This includes 9,087 units for export. The company
had sold a total of 69,001 vehicles in May 2008.

Maruti Suzuki`s volume in the domestic A2 segment grew by
20.7% while in the A3 segment the sales volume grew by 14.1% during the
month as compared to sales in May 2008. The month sales in C segment
grew by 25.1% as compared to May 2008.

The company launched its new premium compact car -Ritz during the month.

Shares of the company gained Rs 13.45, or 1.32%, to trade at
Rs 1,035.00. The total volume of shares traded was 30,986.00 at the BSE
(11.06 a.m., Monday).

Good News for MSIL.
Most of the cars in top 10 Sales chart are from Maruti only and now the Ritz is also going to join it soon.Currently, little Alto is leading the Top 10 sales list.

yup, very soon ritz is going to get into the top 10 cars list, its already selling good

MS has a strong base in top 10 cars. With Alto being at the spot for many months. No wonder its sales increase, its ever increasing.

From my local showroom, that is only one out of the 7 in Kolkata, I was informed that the Ritz already got 30 bookings in a week and a half. Ritz will definetly be a hot seller.

I myself have seen many Ritz in mumbai and delhi.
Looks like Maruti has a winner at hands despite the odd shape and design.

he shape is odd but the detailing and finish they gae is good, thought its odd it doesnt give an ugly feel
