Fiat Palio Stile going cheap!

Looks like Fiat India is clearing its inventory of the Palio which will be making way for the Fiat Grande Punto. The deal surely seems sweet if you don’t mind the outdated interiors, high service costs and poor service. The 100bhp hot hatch Palio 1.6 at Rs. 4.05 lakhs is an absolute steal but the Fiat Palio Diesel at Rs. 4.11 lakhs is even sweeter. The 1.3 litre Multijet in the Palio is the same engine used in the Swift diesel and Fiat claim a mileage of 20.5kmpl, a little optimistic, 18kmpl will be more like it. Still, the Palio won’t really set the sales chart on fire.

:agree: very true.getting your car serviced by TATA is a real headache. God knows how they are torturing their linea customers.
And about Palio Stile, Fiat must realise that they cannot boost up the sales just by reducing their costs. Palio nowadays looks too outdated. They should refresh it a bit because its engine is superb, what palio requires is a facelift.

stile is a facelift version of the palio dude, it looks good with a set of alloys , the thing is we cant rely on the service provided so most of the people dont go for this

The only facelift required is of the interiors. They are disgusting. AND YA, MY NEIGHBOUR OWNS A pALIO 1.6 sACHIN tENDULKAR EDITION. He says its a big whole on the wallet even with Tata taking care of it.

There was a special edition Palio with Sachin's signature on the bonnet. All of them were yellow in color.

how much was this edition priced?

I don't remeber that. Way back in 2002. It only came with the 1.6lt petrol engine.

May be a tad more hike. But it is truly limited in numbers as the owner was telling me.

lol, i dont understand one thing, the company guy is printing some signature on the hoood, and the customer is paying more for that paricular car, in both ways the car maker is profitting for no extra cost involved in making it, why dont the customers realise it

what i will do is post some pictures of the car in this thread for all to see. Then it will be more clearer. It also got a body kit I believe. Those are a tad costly.

here are some pics. mainly it just had some side skirts, spoilers, drilled pedals and sachin's signature.
each car had a number also

The Palio NV had excellent beige interiors which were very attractive.

but still all palio's were hard to maintain with very high running costs as well as its spares and services, so may be company might be clearing their stocks now with not selling palio stile.

exactly. i wouldnt buy a palio even at the current reduced price. i wouldnt like to be seen in a palio. :worst:
