Refreshed Toyota Camry Launched!

The Japanese car giant Toyota, recently showcased its refreshed 2010 Camry at the Detroit Auto Show.

The differences compared to the existing Camry is not that much- a new bumper with bigger air intakes, more sharply designed headlamps and foglamps, 16-inch wheels and the grille receives more chrome work.

On the inside the audio system is all new. Toyota has also changed the material used on the seats, which is more gentle on the skin. The rest of the dash remains same with an LCD screen at the center. At the rear, the taillights have been changed.

Overall a very minor facelift to the Camry which we expect in India shortly.

The front of Camry is really refreshed & gives a look of Civic & Altis !

I really love this look & its just an best car in the segment, but could have been priced better :)

yes, actually camry in India is very much overpriced!i would prefer accord anyday over it because its much cheaper than camry and also its better looking to me!:)

in bangok one can see many camrys and accords on the road!!
because the both are significantly cheaper here!!
even cheaper then accord in india!!!

definately buddy, anyday its accord to camry as also how many do we see on our roads as compared to accord, the camries are already less sold as compared to honda.

Camry is very highly priced, because it is CBU. Otherwise we could as many as Camrys equal to Accords. Even this facelift won't help Camry. Toyota should produce it here and reduce its price.

Not Only toyota, there are many good cars which are overpriced due to non production of these units in INDIA.

SO manufacturers, Come on.. Start your plant soon & give us good quality cars at low rate :)

so does that seems honda did the right thing by pricing package correctly for its cars, which we do see in our market.

Great news vibhor :bounce: . I've always loved Camry, mainly for its looks. And if this happens, then we can see Camry's sales to increase and more on road. Nice move Toyota. But when it is expected?

NEW CAMRY COMING THIS JULY!

Toyota will launch the 2010 Camry in India in July this year. The facelifted Camry was first shown at the 2009 North American International Auto Show. The changes in the facelifted Camry will mostly be cosmetic and include new front grill, new headlights, new fog lamps, indicators on rear view mirrors, 10 spoke alloy wheels and Aux input for audio system. The new Camry will be available in two new colours namely Dark Green Mica Metallic and Beige Mica Metallic. Only 400 cars are allotted to India for 2009.

Camry hasn't sold is much good numbers and I don't think this little facelift is going to help it by any way.

most of the people who can buy a camry will put some more lakhs and get a benz, i dont think this will sell better than before

Leave the Merc aside, There are many other better options available in its price range, For Eg; Passat, New Superb etc, So why would one prefer this Toyota?

You people think that this Camry isn't capable of fighting Accord, as well as other cars, but actually it is.
Being a CBU, you can rest assured that the Camry has better quality and fit-finish than any other car of it's class.
And in the new Camry, Toyota is using a material for the seats called Fraichir, which is one of the gentlest materials to the skin.
Iv'e always preferred the Camry over the Accord.

Well may be thats what you think, but figures chart says the other way, camry does sell no doubt and is a class apart, but if given choice, accord is the first choice between two anyday for most of the people, how many camry's do you see on road as compared to Accord?

thats right vijay. and that is mainly because of the price. price plays quite an important role in indian market.

I think both the cars are near equal to each other. Anyone buying wither of these two cars will want to be driven around and both these cars are meant for this purpose only. Both of them are delightfully comfy and serve this purpose with aplomb. But everything said and done, Honda enjoys a better brand image that Toyota and the price of Accord is substantially less.
However, if Camry is produced in India in near future and it has an aggressive advertising campaign in its favour and prices are cut, then in this evolving market, I donot see bad days for Camry anymore.
