Mitsubishi launches refreshed Montero!

Hindustan - Mitsubishi has launched an upgraded 2009 Montero in India. The changes are just cosmetic. The new montero comes with chrome-plated front grill, seven spoke 17” light alloy wheels and Yokohama tubeless radials. The new version of Montero is priced at Rs. 41.94 lakh (ex-showroom). Mitsubishi imports Montero from Japan as a CBU and had sold 600 units.since its launch four year ago. The launch of Montero 09 coincides with HM-Mitsubishi’s inauguration of their second fully-owned showroom – “Autodrome” in Mumbai. The showroom, which opened for business in the Atria Mall ,Worli ,Mumbai incorporates Mitsubishi Motor’s key retail-design elements.
Mr. Santhanam said: “Mumbai has been one of our fastest-growing markets over the past few years. Bringing Mitsubishi Motor’s to Worli is a logical response to that development. In order to build a sustainable, successful business, you have to be present in a market. It is important that we remain committed to our ambitious expansion plans.”

What? just 600units in 4 years? I think mainly due to the high price(CBU), the sales figures are less. Can someone confirm on its price before this face lift?

HM-Mitsubishi’s philosophy of “One Country-One Price” has led to the pricing of both AT and MT versions of Montero 09 to Rs 41.94 lakhs ex-showroom. The vehicle comes as Completely Built Unit (CBU) and is imported directly from Mitsubishi Motors, Japan.

What AT and MT at the same price?

Yes CC, both are available at same price,theres no difference of features in them except of the transmission. :)

A nice move by Mitsubishi. One country-One price should be followed by other manufacturers too, as the difference is pricing on various states are so high and confusing too.

absolutely CC, i just admire this thought from mitsubishi regarding one price across nation, i think others should follow this too.Also to add is that both A/T and M/T versions are also offered on same price, instead atleast there should be some difference in transmission.

facelift looks good. other manufacturers and government should try to implement same prices across the country for all vehicles.
