Honda to discontinue the Base version of City!

Honda Siel intends to discontinue with its base variant of its Honda City. The newly launched Honda Jazz costs upto Rs 7.33 lakhs which is about Rs 50,000 more than the base variant of the City.
The price difference being less, Honda decided to discontinue the base model 1.5E to increase the price difference, to set up priorities as per the customer

This is a good news for selling the Jazz, but a bad news for aspiring City owners, unwilling to pay 9 lakh for the car.

I think it has already been discontinued.

Honda wants to trade City's base version's sales with Jazz's top-end. Only less number of buyers would be opting for Jazz's top-end, atleast they could have sold base variant in big numbers of City more and earn more cash.
