Chevy testing Cruze on Indian roads

I couldnt find cruze thread so creating new one, teambhp member spotted this cruze tested on roads, seemed like this car was about bigger then civic and altis and ready to compete in market, here are few snaps taken.

This car is about the size of a Skoda Laura and its about time a Cruze gets spotted on the road. I think looks and space will be its main USP.

great. this is just what i had expected. loved the looks. this car looks stunnig in blue, red,black etc kinds of metallic shades.

Why do they cover up the logo? Everyone who knows about cars knows what it is....kind of pointless

So Finally, Cruze is being tested on Indian Land!
This car looks huge with upmarket feel but I still couldn't get which segment it belongs to?
Will it compete with civic etc OR Accord?

RR, chances are it would compete with accord/camry market as they already have optra magnum in city/civic category.

Yes, Cruze is likely to compete with the segment above civic, Like Hyundai Sonata or Accord etc.

yes even i heard the cruze pricing will start from 12 lacs.

Hey folks, this car will give a fight to the Skoda Laura, VW Jetta, Sonata Transform and may be, the Honda Accord. Competitive pricing will attract buyers as it will start from just above the top model of the Optra Magnum.

This has to be the most beautiful car in the segment
Personally I feel claustrophobic in the civic because of its height
whereas skoda and the VW is expensive on the pocket in terms of maintanence
so this might as well be the top seller of its segment cause of chevy's 3 yr warranty

And am damn sure it will be one hell of a drive

yeah C-O-S this would definately create lots of heat in market, looks good and promising with superb ride quality along with that chevy maintenance package.

I thought this ine will compete with Civic, Altis and Octy. But if it is to compete Laura and Jetta, i doubt its success.

why not CC, if the size and package is to compete with altis/accord range with superb pricing then it surely would do gr8 in market, and might affect civic/city sales too.

i'm still not clear on what price range will it be.

Yeah me too. Some members say it would compete with the likes of Accord, Sonata, Laura, etc..

Most of the chances are that it would be placed between Civic & Accord, I.E competition to Hyundai's Sonata.

The interiors of Cruze aree very good.Hope they offer them here in beige colour too!

how can it compete civic and accord both? they have a huge difference in terms of everything space, quality, engine, power, price etc.

Hey guys, sorry for not being online since a few days, 2 days back I came across a WHITE COLORED CHEVY CRUZE being tested in SOUTH EX 1 in NEW DELHI!!!!!
It was in the opposite lane so no pics, all Delhites keep your eyes open!!!!

That is great news sparsh!My house is near South Ex.
But why will chevy test the Cruze in Delhi, Are sure it was cruze or a accord? because when I saw an accord on road at first sight it seemed like Cruze to me.
