Recently, This Ford's model has been spied testing, There are doubts that the boot is fake, just to give it an impression of a sedan but on the other hand, It can be clearly seen that the ORVM's and Dash's styling incl. A/C vents are from fiesta. Suspect

May be Ford is also testing Fiesta saloon here. The current Fiesta's sales has come down.

But then, why should design cues like ORVMs and dashboard be the same?

I get a feeling that Ford will launch this in the Swift segment, by phasing out the Fusion, also they might look to bring in a car to compete with the Optra magnum and Civic.
Am eagerly waiting to get lay my hands on this car as Im a Ford fanatic

It looks like a mix of GP(tail lamps), Fusion(side view) and Swift(head lamps).

This car looks sublime, yet attractive. I think this car will create waves in the market because there are many takers, who genuinely want a powerful and a fun to drive hatch, and are tired of the Swift, because it has no exclusivity.

Also if Ford can make it a "complete package" like the Ikon which is both a family car and a driver's delight, also if Ford keeps a nominal maintainence then this would sell out like cakes out of the oven, also it looks cool. car

Ford can sure make it a Driver's delight like all their cars, but maintenance is something they need to concentrate more. But those maintenance packages will solve them to a limit.

If I'm not wrong Ford's maintainence is now more or less nominal as compared to what it was just a few years ago.

This very much looks like a Fusion if you notice the rear quarter glass, Tail lamps etc of the car.
We can call it "Advanced" version of Fusion.

then this should be in price range of i20 diesel for sure.
It would be great if ford price is more competetive to current new hatchbacks.

i20 diesel is too much for a Ford car. It should be in the range of Swift. Then only Ford can gain buyer's attention and convince them to buy the car.

yes cc very true, but currently looking at the market and new hatchbacks launched, ford also might comeup with premium hatchback category and end up inbetween GP-i20 range.

I bet that more than practicality, Ford will be concentrating more an its stregnths, viz a good engine and awesome driving characteristics. It will not be meant for the typical family usage. Hence, this will narrow the fight between Verve, Swift and GP, all of which share common intentions.

This is great news for Ford lovers. The price bracket also appears to be very attractive. What is left to see is the pair of engines that will power the car. The diesel will surely be the ever-familiar 1.4lt Duratorq engine. The petrol might be a cut down version of the Fiesta's discontinued 1.4lt Duratec engine. While the diesel will satisfy most enthusiasts, the potency of the petrol is yet to be seen. I would expect a peak power of atleast 70 BHP to power the car. If not an outright performer, it will provide that involvement that we are familiar with. Good ride and handling are a given constant!!
