Spied - Ford’s Verve-based low-cost car

Finally the confusion is over. This one looks good. But i feel it'll be less on shoulder room, as it is narrow.

This car will be an instant hit with the masses if maintenance is taken care of. Because with small cars come small maintenance. This is why the Fabia doesn't sell well, apart from the high pricing, to which the Verve may also be a victim. But it will provide immense driving pleasure and will compete head on with the GP and the Swift. This will be a fun comparison to witness.

yeah Crazy cat but there is a new model with new headlamps of the same fiesta pictured. My friend drives one. In Indian context, it would cut a nice picture but would be dated when considered in front of the very beautiful and gorgeous Fiat Grande Punto....

@amber_uk, can you share more details of the car you friend has? Pictures will do.

looks somewhat similar. but the wheel archs in the spied shots look different. and also the front bumper.

i think there are minor tweaks in the design to make it more appealing and to make it more different than the european last gen fiesta. You can see the outlines of the headlights etc in the disguised car picture. But essentially the body shell remains the same....

I found the car to be quite appealing. Most details provided by amber_uk match the test car. It nonetheless looks like a facelifted Fusion. It does not look outdated and will have good dynamic ability. I can see a potential winner in Ford's hands.

So this is the car that is coming?

As said by dcar, Fiat has a potential winner in its hands. I expect Swift/Ritz competing prices. But Ford should work on its spares.

The version i ve uploaded is the top end ST version which is very unlikely in India but a deglamourized version may be expected. This Fiesta may look appealing in the pictures but its certainly dated in front of say Grande Punto and Suzuki swift. In more mainstream forms, this version looks just plain simple but as Indian tastes are more of conventional ones, it may get accepted. Who knows?

I don't think deglamourized versions will work here because if Indians don't like looks, they will not even proceed to sit inside the car and drive it, especially when cars like the Swift and the GP are competing with it. This is the main reason why the Suzuki Baleno never sold well.

This version does not look deglamourized to me. I like it. Its got that plain yet appealing design, though a little more styling could have been more welcome. Its a good design that will appeal to the masses. I especially like the front bumper.

Ya, This isn't the one which is spied but the front end looks similar to it.

The pic posted by Vibhor looks awesome. Hope verve looks like that ven it bits.

Verve will not look like that as I have mentioned above. Its the new Ford Fiesta, designed in America.
