Ford ikon,Swift dZire or Logan Which is better?

Hello Guys,Need your views on these cars, what do you think which one is better Ford ikon, Maruti dZire or Renault logan?Please share pros and cons of them and which one would you buy and why?

out of these i would go for ikon!
PROS:
-best looks in class
-very refined diesel engine
-good handling
-price

CONS:
dull interiors
spares which is expensive (but i think it is chaep now!)
nothing else!

Ford Ikon:
+ve- solid built
refined engine
good handling
price on offer

-ve- spares still higher
ASS not that great
resale value
dull interiors
same old odd looks,nothing gr8

Swift Dzire:
+ve- DDis engine
ASS superb nation wide
spares
resale best of lot
price
features

-ve- rear seats not gr8
rear viewing not gr8
rattles
company and dealers waitlist period

Renault Logan:
+ve- engine
spacious,more spacious
mileage

-ve- interiors very dull
exteriors not appealing(worst of 3)
spares costly (details from CC ownership experience)
resale value

Thanks guys, So ikon is much better?but personallly i feel feature wise dzire wins which ikon lacks.

Dezire has everything except the Leg Room which is really mandatory for Sedans...

Logan really goes out of competetion because of normal looks & high cost of spares.

For me its Ikon. But its really a tough call between both.

You will get a good resale value for Maruti cars than Ford.

Its you to Decide RR .. Ford & Dzire are really great cars.

It is Dzire for me. It is not a great looker, but still with it performing well in market and Maruti's A.S.S. , Dzire is the one i would go for. Dzire has less legroom at the back. But has best-in-class pick up, mileage, low service costs, high resale value, better equipment and safety, etc..

@archit and vijay, Dzire has the best engine refinement. FYI, Ikon uses cheaper engine mounts, resulting in lack of refinement when compared with Fiesta.

Not a great looker though , but the dzire is the one i'd chose.
Modding options are a lot.
It has an option of the coveted 1.3 MJD engine.
It has good features and a good maruti support.

i am the odd one out here, but i would prefer the logan. because it has a very efficient diesel engine and most importantly, class leading space in the cabin and a very comfortable ride.
a white logan with black tinted glass with good alloys look cool too.

i would just like to add
Ford Ikon : check for leg space for driver.i have to pull the seat back each time while getting in and out of the driver's seat. and even when inside it does not feel as spacious as the other two. but thats only on the driver's seat. rest all the seats have good leg room. otherwise the car is always fun to drive.
Dzire: this is has all the right boxes ticked. comfortable. good after sales from maruti. and refined with good equipment. rear seat could have been better and slight problem while reversing because of the fat c-pillars.
Logan: this car is ideal for a long term. it's strengths are solid built, good space and long lasting engine. it just falls short of good looks, which is quite a subjective issue, as i like the looks of the logan as well.
Select the one that suits you best.

I would go for the Dzire because of its Multijet engine... Though I only wish that it would handle better...!!

I would also anyday go for Maruti Swit dZire, Its loaded with features and comes at a low price tag just like SX4 and a relaible maruti tag, Logan is also a nice spacious car but too plain look wise, If FE is main concern then only Logan makes sense, ford ikon is another car but its same as with logan plain looks but has become too long in the tooth, overall dZire is one to opt for.:winkthumb:

Ford Ikon
Pros
>its a great drive
>Even a novice can feel at home driving this car, handles really well
>the diesel varient has good fuel economy
>it has the lightest kerb weight in the lot
>very stable even at high speeds
>its a Ford but its designed by Indians for Indians

Cons
>its a 10 year old car, its time for a face lift
>it has none of the safety features as that of the Dzire and logan
>Spare parts are'nt easily available(atleast not in kolkata)
>Dull looks


Mahindra-Renault Logan
Pros
>very spacious
>the 1.5 DLS and 1.6 GLS varient comes with a lot of features
>standard comfort
>mahindra provides excellent maintenance facilty

Cons
>How can they design a car so hideous?
>its ludicrously wide
>its got a high turn radius
>driving isn't any fun, feels more like driving a tractor.
>least powered engine of the 3, and also the heaviest

then which facelift are u talking about?

I think he is talking about a major face lift, for example, like the City, Sumo, Indica, etc.. and yeah, it is much needed for a car this old

I Don't think that a facelift will do with an old name!They should completely replace it and bring an all new model with new name. :)

Yeah how about a car name Ford "Idol" for instance :lol!:
