Maruti Suzuki Young Driver Revealed!

Hello Friends,
You all must be knowing that MSIL and ACI conducted an event Young driver, So that Young driver is now revealed, Check this out -

Zubin Antalia (pictured) from Mumbai has won the inaugural Maruti Suzuki-Autocar Young Driver contest, beating 32 other competitors from across the country. He beat Sachin Arora of Delhi and Vendant from Kochi. Only 2 points separating the top three. Antalia recieved the keys of a brand new Maruti-Suzuki A-Star from Maruti's Executive officer for marketing and sales Mayank Pareek (pictured, below)

The first of its kind competition, which took place over a two-month long contest saw over 4000 participants from 12 cities. It tested the competitors’ knowledge of traffic rules, awareness of Road Safety

along with their real-world driving skill. The contest was open to all individuals, between the age of 18 and 30 years, with a valid driving license. :)

Hey Vibs.. This is a great Event.. But i never Knew it :(

yeah gr8 news and read that on ACI and heartiest congrats to the winner, on the sad note is that when i received the call for 2nd round, they said dates have been changed from 14th feb, and new dates would be revealed in a day or so and you would be informed, after that ceeing the results directly.. :frustration:

A real great event. The only odd thing in this event is the theory exam and simulator test.

I participated in this event.. Cleared 1st Round.. And attempted 2nd round.. Driving test on stimulator was wierd.. Still I guess, I did a good job.. A theory test of 40 questions was also part of 2nd round.. Googly in this test was questions related to Traffic Rules.. For Eg: "Drunken Driving is offence under which section?" , " What is the fine for driving without licence?"

Now who cares knowing sections and fines when you obey all the rules? Safety was focussed in this contest.. But fine for driving without licence will be known to one who drives without licence.. Does this indicate safety?

this is really a great concept !! but what is that theory exam ??

How knowing the sections will help in better driving?
And how a simulator will determine one's driving skills?
And also a question was like what are the consequences of drinking?(some dieseases)(i forgot the question, but it was like this)

Simulator is like a PC game. When i stepped on it, i felt like playing a game.
