Jaguar and Landrover launched!

I am in deep love with both the brands. Jaguar and LR have a distinct charm in them which keeps me hooked to them. I love all the SUVs of LR and looking forward to see them on Indian roads in competitive prices. But its unlikely that Tata Motors will assemble these vehicles here in near future.

absolutely, there are no plans for assembling these vehicles in here, purely imports as for now, but surely it would be great to see them here which would make some good movement in other foreign brands selling.

And added information is Jaguar has got orders for around 100 cars from Taj.

so Mr.Tata himself has ordered few of them, may be for their guests visiting.

I don't think the Jaguar XF is more comfy than the E-Class, as shown by ACI.

after JLRs official entry will the products be cheaper than individualy importing them by yourself? thats the main question on my mind. as these will be CBUs.

Those guests are none other than the potential buyers of Jaguar car itself. Those guests might turn up into a Jaguar owner in future.

UPDATE: Coming in June!

Finally the two premium car brands Jaguar and Land Rover, now owned by Tata Motors, will make appearances in Indian this June. The news of these legendary British car brands coming to India was on from the time of Tata has acquired them. All Jaguars and Land Rovers will be imported to the premium car division at Ceejay House in Worli, Mumbai. This will be a significant move from Tata Motors that will further increase the company’s reputation in the domestic market and also on the global scene. The range of models that will enter Tata showrooms in India are XF and XK from Jaguar and Discover 3, Range Rover, and Range Rover Sport from Land Rover. Tata is the first Indian car manufacturer to make such a privileged deal and it’s a matter of pride to see these two premium British car brands in the country. How the cars will be received by Indians remains to be seen.

Comfort levels are something to be found precisely only after Indian launch, with Indian spec XF.

But by looks, i love the XF.

i think they will be CBU imports. there are no facilities to produce them here right now.

Yes they will be imports for sure. Setting up a plant in such a short period is not possible, that too with recession and Tata in debt.

I am so in love with the Jaguar's!The charm and persona they exude just floors me and there is something very classy about those beauties!I would anyday prefer a Jaguar over a Merc because it stands out!
Though it is pretty clear that Jaguar does not want to have a 'tough' competition with the Germans since the pricing is stratospheric!With the XFR costing 80 lakhs and XKR at 1 crore.They are going to be the exclusive ones competing with the likes of AMG and M series of cars.The new XJ which is debuting in July will come to India to compete with the S class,7 series and the A8.
While the landrover is coming with the entire range!

Ya its really nice. the showroom is big but doesn't have enough cars to fill it up. But then not many people will be buying these.

I have seen the location where the JLR showroom is coming ( Worli mumbai).
Its at an amazing location quite close to Audi Mumbai.
Great area. Great Showroom.
I love it though the Tata logo could have been avoided.
It would always remind that JLR is going to be serviced under Tata ( or not?)

JLR's success is based on Tata's decision of servicing cars themselves or with a complete new team.

Yes it looks good indeed, but as abhinav said, Tata logo should be avoided. It's like some thing to prevent the showroom from evil eyes :lol!:
