    Nice pics TV.
Guys look how thoughtful Hyundai is. It has got plenty of storage spaces inside the cabin. Look at the glove box, it has a seperate provision for keeping RC book, insurance paper, etc..
Though the color of interior is not good. It is like covered by mud. If it is a bit blackish, it'll be good.

my friend who sended me this pics told me that when driver seat is slided back, rear leg room is not sufficient, shoulders too is not that gr8 as expected, also steering is low which is difficult as it touches your thighs while in centre driving positioned seats, else is a good, though this is not my verdict as not been to hyundai showroom yet, so anyone from here to have checked out this car yet???

this car is simply too good, i would prefer it over a verna/elantra/embera just because of its interiors!

yes, it is, but look at the features (6 airags, ABS, climate control and what not!), the amazing interiors, i think its worth the money spent, unlike fabia. this is what is a true premium hatchback, the word 'premium' suits the i20.

Yeah while comparing with Fabia, this one is better. Hyundai has more service centres than Skoda and the price of parts is also cheaper. Fabia is the main car that is going to feel the pain of i20.

The car is simply amazing from the exterior looks !

I visited the showroom & Interiors are really mind blowing & keeps a ahead of all luxury Hatchbacks :)

I feel bit disappointed with legroom comfort on rear seat [I din't mean its not enough, but it will be good if it would have been better], Else this will be the greatest hatch ever.

I think that they launched it, just for contesting in COTY. There is no sign of TD of cars in Coimbatore too.

hey guys went to hyundai showroom yesterday to check out new i20.
as heard no vehicle to TD but was told would be available within week. Would load the pictures in one or two days but here's what i felt with this new car.
First look felt like a big and huge car with nice curves and lines built. Door handles and the noise of closing door was good. It was a white car Asta model. Interiors were good with purple and beidge combination with good rooms incabin. But didnt liked the steering positioned which was too close to my knees even with adjusting my seat and steering. Lots of gloves box space with chiller compartment inside. Keyless entry with ABS,EBD,Auto Climate Control, Two airbags in front, indash audio system with 4 speekers and two tweeters, were first of its kind in hatch found. Now with rear space its wider, long then fabia and swift and also getz but after sliding and adjusting the drivers sear, rears were not ample space and my knees were touching the drivers seat, nothing more then my indica, though wider so three can sit comfortable. Luggage space is big with 295L of space. Fog lamps in front and rear. Dual trip meter with ontime fuel available with distance to cover, another with mileage given, along with climate and time with date is good function to have. steering mounted audio controls with volume buttons and channel change funtions. Overall a good package with loads of features found in a hatchback with premium price. Onroads price in Ahmedabad are as follows:-
    Magna - 543206/-
    Asta - 631547/-
    Asta(o)- 655835/-
There are inclusive all taxes prices. as per given by Planet HYundai.Ahmedabad.
One more thing i forgot to mention that rear seats can only be folded and not tumbled unlike indica and getz completely to get the complete space for luggage.
    CHEERS!!!!

Price seems to be very expensive. For this price, Fabia 1.2l should not be far away.

Ya CC I agree, But Fabia doesn't have these Huge List of Accessories.

Ya it really gives a close competetion between Fabia & i20.

Those who needs Gadget will opt for i20, & those who needs Engineering & performance will go to Fabia :)

guys, did anyone checked out this car, cause what i didnt mentioned in my visit for a look is that this car doesnt have auto weight sensors for airbags but its manual buttons with on/off switch, unlike drivers seat with senses the seatbelt warnings on weight transform in few seconds also on its rear seats seatbelts signals, but with airbags i guess on front passenger side, you have to turn on/off manually. So can someone pour more lights on this please...

Ya even i noticed the Air Bags Button on the Co-Drivers Dashboard (LeftHand Side) There was a key on Off (Something like our Ignition key itself).

But i dont have much idea about airbags!

Can anyone explain why its given for & how other car works??

zinam, what i know that usually airbags have auto sensors which gets active with weight sensors once passenger occupies seats, and with this car one has to active the airbags which will only then blow up on collision, not too sure though. need more clarification on this.

not every car has wight sensing airbags. like i dont think low end cars like swift and i10 has weight sensing airbags.

in case of i20, i feel that instead of providing a key for the airbags, they should have provided weight sensing airbags which will not operate at very less weights, that is, if kids are seated.

@ raj & thackervijay: the airbags are designed only for adults. in case of kids, the airbag will give a nasty blow to their neck (since kids are smaller) which in turn will harm them more. if you notice, in the manuals of cars with airbags, they caution you that kids should not be seated in the front seats.

Yeah thats true archit and vijay. Airbags are meant for adults and not for kids. But there is a sensor which activates airbags only when seatbelts are worn.
