Ok, here is a very quick & brief review, fire away your questions after going through it :)
Vehicle Specifications:-
2009 Ford Transit Tourneo Limited
Engine: 2.2 L TDCi (115HP)
Gearbox: 6 Speed
9 Seater + 5 Door Body with Rear Sliding Doors & Tailgate
HVAC Unit Front & Rear
Driver & Fr. Passenger Airbags
Ford - 6 CD Changer with Radio
Sat Nav on board
Dual Battery
Speed Control System
Electrically adjustable Wing Mirrors
Alarm & Immobiliser
Detachable Remote & Key
The Transit is better known for its load-lugging abilities than passenger car comfort. one can can sling plenty of gear in the boot, and the tailgate lifts upwards . The dash is clearly laid out and the controls are well marked. There are loads of storage spaces too as can be seen in the pics, with lots of bottle/can holders/various junk & stuff mainly meant for the delivery driver/courier van. Huge headlights flank an even bigger grille, but it all goes a bit flat around the sides and rear, which make it look like a Birds Beak attached to a Bread Box! But the Tourneo is more about function than form.
Seated in the Driver's seat, one feels a bit odd with the positioning of the seat as far as ergonomics are concerned & i felt quite disoriented for a while. The 2 batteries are also located under the drivers seat, which also felt weird as their is sufficient space to accomodate them in the engine bay. The steering wheel & gear lever felt similar to that of the Mondeo, engaging the gears is very smooth & the action is very positive & direct with minimal gear throw between gear shifts. Reverse is engaged by lifting the circular ring below the gear knob, similar to that of Cielo's & Opels. One gets the impression that he is driving a mini bus on the road & i had to be pretty attentive to get the judgement on the busy roads. At a secluded stretch was able to take her to nearly 110, but she does not like to be hurried up at all & goes about at her own pace, with 2nd & third gears keeping her in the meaty part of thrust roughly around 2200 revs.
Overall I was not impressed by the quality of the interior plastics used which looked very cheap & downmarket, along with the Seats Upholstery & lack of adequate padding for the seats. One very peculiar thing that i've noticed in 2 of Fords Vehicles, this & the Endeavour is that no matter how huge the exteriors & interiors are, as far as seating is concerned they both feel very cramped & claustophobic to sit in. In case of the exterior appearance of this vehicle, once assumes that atleast 15 people can be comfortably seated in it, but alas that is not the case at all, with space for the passenger in between front seats also being questioned. All in all, I see no justification done to this Vehicle especially when the price factor of 40 odd lacs comes into the picture.
Written in a hurry, so point out any mistakes if found , cheers :P
Its an import, for 5 star hotel

40 lacs is quite high. It looks boxy, but not bad. But interiors could have been better though. How will they service the car here?
You said that engine compartment had plenty of space for two batteries, but from the pic, i wonder how it is possible. Any engine bay pic?

Well forgot to take engine pics  sorry chaps! Though had a good look at the engine which was pretty small compared to size of engine bay. Not 'officially' sold by Ford yet. Service will be handled by Ford.

40 lakh is just too much to pay for this minibus. It should hardly be 10-15 lakh. I agree with Vlad on the interior part. Plastics are pretty ordinary and seating position is cramped and clausetophobic. It feels like one is sitting on the floor. The hotel would have done better to get itself a Mercedes Van, which is infinitely more comfy and luxurious. Even a Toyota Hilux would have worked better.

tourneo is an apt name for this vehicle. good for sight seeing, it can give good view of outside. may be that's the purpose why the hotel bought it.

40 lakh is a high price. but perhaps it due to it being a CBU import.
