Theres no need for one unless you are interested in really hard cornering, and cornering stability in the wet. Maruti 800 easily loses its tail during hard cornering, as the front grip is not really good. unless you are experienced enough to catch a wagging tail, refrain from doing hard cornering in the wet. I learnt it the hard way. Strut braces will increase frontal grip, as well as reduce understeer under accleration in a corner.
there are almost no negative effects.

im used to cornering a lot, i recently got bridgestone potenza g3's 165/60 r13 instead of the stock 145/70r12 and now the road grip and cornering capacity increased a lot..so im tinking whether to get it done or not

dude, this is a type one m800 man, even if you put NOS to it, it wont go this fast, the engine would blowoff but that'll not reach tis speed and at this speed unless there is additional weight the car wont be on the roads because the car hardly has any weight

nissan twincam engine is huge for a vehicle like m800, the engine cant fit in that of an m800, the room provided it too small, installing a turbo itself makes it a tough job in an m800 dude, forget the twin cam

    God!!
You guys are CRAZY! the nissan pic is posted just to show what strut braces are. that is a nissan 240sx. Not a maruti 800 :frustration:
regarding the type 1 speedo, i have no idea what it is, one single speedo pic is not enough to judge the picture. and regarding the 800, whatever you put ino it, it wont go above 160-170, the gearing of the car doesnt allow it.
    Hope it is clear.

    Racerdabba wrote:Hi everybody.
I'm Debayan. just joined the forum. and the first thing i noticed was the thread on a turbocharged 800.
The 800 is mine. i had posted this on team-bhp, where i was told that it wasnt possible, and i was spamming dem.
+ i nvr had any pics of the install, so they had the benefit of doubt. the thing is, that it is possible. the performance gains arnt much, but the fun factor is. I used a IHI RHB 131 turbo. The engine head is from a F5a. this engine was used in japan. The F5a/F8a/F8b/F8d, all have same blocks, but different heads. The turbo used to run on 7psi boost. the stock internals can handle it easily.
The pics are of the speedo and are not photoshopped. i have 3 pics clicked in succesion. ckeck the odo readings..
these are the only pics i have. I am in chennai, the car is in Bokaro, my hometown. I rarely go there. Engineering *****..lots of work, and i cnt even go home... :(
Did you drive this 800 in torquenite? Post some exterior pics, which we have not seen on net.

Any idea where I can source a new head and turbo for the F8B engine? That will be an easy mod job.
