    The Golf Mk 6 has been awarded World Car of the Year status by an elite jury comprising 59 auto journalists from 25 countries. The results were announced at the recently-concluded New York Auto Show. Stefan Jacoby, CEO of Volkswagen America and Klaus Bischoff, head of Volkswagen's Design Centre, collected the Award. The Golf is one of the most popular cars of all time, selling over 26 million units during its life time. :)
