Hand signals and Indicator usage

I started this thread to discuss about the hand signals to be made while driving and also the indicator usage. Many don't know their exact usage of them. I have a very limited knowledge in this, especially hand signals. It would be helpful, if you all pour in your valuable informations.

Thanks for the picture vibhor. In the pic on the right(centre pic), for turning right in a LHD car, he is using a signal. I saw an old man in Premier Padmini, using this to stop for a signal. I thought it was used to stop a vehicle, and i've similar signals few more times at different occasions. Which is correct?

if you see someone raising his hand like L, means he is stopping and warns other behind fellows to slow and stop.This is for the second right picture.

But in the second right picture, right indicator is blinking?
