2009 Mercedes M Class launched!

Mercedes-Benz India has launched the 2009 version of the M-Class. The revised version of the M Class was launched internationally in March 2008 at the 2008 New York Auto Show. The upgrades to the M Class are the first major upgrades since 2005.
The updated Mercedes SUV gets a redesigned front and rear end, few interior refreshments and a new four-spoke multifunction steering wheel with added tech. The exteriors get new headlamps and a new grille, while the back receives smoked glass tail lamp treatment. The new car comes with features like 19-inch alloys, 7-speed GTronic automatic gearbox and a the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive system.
Mercedes-Benz India will be offering the new M Class with two variants, both with V6 engines - the ML 320CDI diesel and the ML 350 petrol. Pricing has been kept very competitive with major slashes as compared to the earlier version. The ML 320 CDI has been priced at Rs 54 lakh ex-showroom Mumbai, while the petrol engined ML 350 comes with a price tag of Rs 53.77 lakh, ex-showroom Mumbai. :)

I think that the underlined model should be ML 350(a petrol), as found on the first opening post of this thread. Hope your doubt is cleared, archit.

Yup!True Zal!I've seen this car many time in my city, its mostly of embassys and looks really great!but still i would prefer Cayenne over it anyday! :)

The new M-Class is available in two engine

Concept. There is plenty of room for the luggage and yet the car offers
comfortable seating for 5 adults. The New M-Class also features as standard, a
full-size spare wheel mounted on the rear of the vehicle, a major convenience
and car safety advantage in case of a flat tire- especially in Indian driving
conditions. Price of Mercedes ML 350 is Rs. 53.77 lacs, ex-showroom Mumbai while

This SUV looks damn awesome. I'd love to have it in my garage. The CDI will particularly give a healthy competition to the others. @Vibhor, how good is the M-Class against the Q7 and Cayenne in terms of driving pleasure?

Yes thats right, As Archit said, In terms of driving pleasure Porsche Cayenne is ahead of all.
Our member Abhijit can tell this more better as he owns an Audi Q7.

I agree with Archit
Even the Touareg and Q7 are great but when compared to the Cayenne, they dont have that sporty feel

Also the ML's biggest competition would be the cayenne only considering it is out with the deisel also now.

nice grille nice lights nice wheels. but still not the car i would like to buy.
