I don't like My car because.....

Exactly! What makes you dislike your own personal car? What are the negatives in your car? What makes you crib about it?
We all have been always talking about the psotive aspect of our cars in numerous threads. But somewhere in the corner of our mind, we have always thought that wish this thing in my car was better than my neighbour's car or the competition!
Lets make a list of it today!
Make sure you write down the full model name of your car IN BOLD before listing down its negativities. And yes, there is no size limitation for the list you prepare, LOL.



I will start with mine:
MAHINDRA SCORPIO 2.2 VLX -
Dear Mahindra,
Hope you are doing good. I am fine too. Here is a list of issues I have with your product-
1) Bouncy ride - Why is it not as good as the innova or the safari?
2) Body roll - So what if its an SUV? even the Q7 is!!!
3) Cabin space - Huge exterior & equally small interiors! Where have you lost all the space?
4) Cabin plastic quality - Again, why is it not as good as the innova?
5) Stickers - I have got used to it now. But why did you opt for such odd stickering on the VLX? cant you give it optional? cant you leave that choice to the customers? it looks as if my car has chicken pox!
6) Spare wheel on the boot door - C'mon buddy, you call the scorpio a SUV & Mighty Muscular & what not! will it cost much to have a spare wheel on the boot door?
7) Speaker slots on the middle door - You has provided slots in the front door & boot door, why not the middle row doors?
8) AC vents for rear passengers: Even the much less expensive Xylo has roof mounted AC vents, same with the innova & safari. Why do you think scorpio owners dont deserve this?

Phew! Hey Mahindra, I hope that list was not too long. i know some of them are exaggerated & i also know i am being mean & selfish by asking all this considering what i pay you for this product. but you know... this is human tendency, we will never be happy, so its better you keep delivering more and more!

Here is mine:

Logan 1.5 DLS:
1) Poor quality switches- Switches sometimes feel like they will break if given a hard twist, especially the AC controls
2) Uncomfortable seats- Though spacious, the seats are a touch flat. Swift's seats are more comfortable.
3) Beige interior- Gets dirt real soon
4) Ergonomics- Power window switches location, all controls work in opposite directions
5) Wipers- They work in opposite direction, so when they wipe and go down, some amount of water is sprayed on right side of windscreen on front of driver's face.
6) High service costs
7) Vague steering- at city speeds, you can shake the steering a bit and you can see no changes to car's direction. It is not at all direct.

good topic Raj, yes we do talk a lot about the good things about our cars but forget to mention the things we dislike

Tata Indica Dls 2005 V2

* ASS ( worst for me till now)
* Plastic quality includes switches
* Dealers
* Pickup with AC, seems like summer season doesnt allow this car to run.
* A/c is not powerful enough

guess included all.

Come on all, post the negative points of your car. So that we all can know about them.

as i said before, i drive an m800
cons are
very bad braking
no powersteering
doesnt support any upgrades, you need to make lots of changes for a simple thing to change

does my car has the maximum number of negatives?

8 Body rattle- steering wheel, dashboard, windows(the worst of the lot)

one more for my m800,
no speaker pods at all, neither on the front nor the doors

one more thing i would like to add are small tyres, and the most which i forgot to mention are the panel gaps, that is something company needs to work on, even new vista shares similar gaps which is not rectified which sould be done.

I've noticed in Many Indica's that their rear wheel arches scraps the wheels,Is it because of overloading and soft rear suspension? Vijay, Does something like this happens in your Indica also?

@vibhor, it happens because of soft rear suspension. But i never came across wheel scraping. I only experience almost no or less play of suspension at rear with more load at the back. (I'm telling from the experience of our Indica Dicor in chennai, which i'm driving now)

@vijay, panel gaps aren't a big issue to me, many cars have big panel gaps. But inconsistent or uneven gaps(big gap on one end and small on the other end of the same part) is really an issue to be sorted out.

2006 Honda Civic 2.0 E

- the side skirting is low and has been scraped by sidewalks
- leather upholstery get dirty fast!
- black color gets dirty really fast (though i shouldnt blame on the civic)
- there should be electronic seat adjustment
- GC is very low

MARUTI SWIFT 1.3 ZXi

The cons I would like to point out are:-

1. very little boot space leading to loading problems
2. body rattle and plastic rattle ensures that you donot listen to music on bad roads
3. engine should have been a touch more responsive for that real kick
4. the AC takes its own sweet time to cool the cabin
5. I wish that the brakes were slightly more powerful
6. the steering requires more feel to inspire that amount of confidence
7. reversing is a problem due to small rear glass
8. headlights very poor at night
9. poor building techniques-for e.g. if the mirrors get hit hard, then the outside covers will come off, leaving the main frame with the glass intact. we donot get those covers in the market which the company should provide, forcing us to buy an entirely new mirror.

These are the drawbacks that need to be sorted out a.s.a.p!!!

MARUTI SUZUKI SX4
1. my SX4 has the biggest problem of being high on the roads, so creates a big amount of body roll while turning.
2. also the big ORVM is really bad. a small crack wil lead to an entire change. i got numerous scratches.
3. the fuel efficiency is HORRIBLE!!! i got only 9.5 on the city roads.
4. the steering is too light, sometimes it creates problems.
5. the glove box does not shut at once, it needs 2/3 pushes, also the boot does not shut at once.
6. reversing is a major problem as the boot is high & the rear windshield is small.

these small problems need to be sorted out or else the customer will bid good bye to it forever.

Here are the dislike of my car, Copied from my car's review.

Maruti 800 DX 5Speed

The Dashboard very badly reflects badly on windshield mainly during sunny days.

The Map reading lamp isn't at all effective.

Tiny Boot! - The boot space is one of the biggest -ve, I miss it during Railway station and Airport trips.

Theres no rear door pockets, I wish if there was, Atleast one.

No Parcel Shelf, Actually most of the MSIL cars don't have it.

Poor Rear Drum brakes - The rear brakes are really not so good, Have also troubled me once.

Panel Gaps! - Few of the parts on exterior body have very big panel gaps, Looks odd.
Loose Bumpers - Bumpers tend to loos very soon.

Rattling! Body parts rattle very much when on a move, As they say, It comes as standard on every MSIL car.

i agree with the rattling ting, my car also has this problem, i get irritated sometimes because of this noice :frustration:
