mean machine.500bhp is mad. great mod.

Octy vRS is one machine which gives maximum scope for modifications. And it has got handling to match the power. That is more important.

What's the use of 500 bhp in a FWD car.

Its good only in the mid range however a 0-100 in almost 6 seconds is the same as the recently launched superb with the v6 and 260 bhp and no turbo.

I dont even believe it has 500, must be around 300 or something. At 500 BHPS going to the front wheel ,The car will wheel spin in every gear.

The Total Cost of this Mod is somewhere near 15 Lakhs, I would rather plonk a K20 into my civic and then Turbo. *DREAMS*

By the way, I hope you guys know about Torque Nite, When this car smashed by Zens and Maruti 800 prepared by game over boys.

Torque Nite was a Drag racing event organized in Mumbai. In that event this car was defeated by a 1.4L N/A Zen and a 1.4L Turbo charged Maruti 800

Like I said before its not 500 BHP, the Zen was running a 1.4 NA Engine and it was the fatest NA car on the event, The 800 was running a 1.4L engine(Not sure about that) but it was a turbo, that car was as fast as a Nissan GT-r

It's called power to weight ratio.Look it up.Harry from bangalore has a daily driver with a garett turbo running at 1 bar.It's his daily driver.That car in the pic looks like a hazard waiting to go bust.Wonder what they did with the crossmember and engine mounts.

this RS is owned by the same guy who owns the Nissan GTR with the number 555....yes this is 500 BHP... but it was surely beaten by many cars... not sure if the Game Over 800's and zen's beat it... but one of my friend Jinesh in his Baleno did beat it... see the results of Torque Nites... 

Its not right to say that its not 500 bhp until its proven.
Obviously even if it is 500 bhp, still the low end of the car gets affected due to it being FWD. There is so much wheelspin in each gears that the car hardly moves initially.

The 1.4Turbo 800 must be great due to the very less weight.

The Autocar had featured this car and they have clearly mentioned it to be 500BHP

Mentioning it just because it is claimed at 500 bhp.
Only a dyno run can prove this.
Even if the transmission loss is taken into account, it would be still around 400 bhp on the wheels.
And around 6 seconds is not too good considering the stock is 8.4
The 240 bhp is around 7.
So Double to power and a gain of only a second sounds unreal.

However the In Gear speeds are amazing.
It was like 100-200 or something in 10 seconds which is pretty fast.

a 500 bhp octy is like awesome but a 500bhp fwd?? i dont think thats a good thing and i found that turbo chrged m800 very interesting, can any one post some pics or someting regarding that car?
