For the past one month, i'm spotted this LHD Safari testing in Coimbatore. I've seen it three times till date. It has a moron sitting inside as a driver, the worst driving i've seen. I agree it is difficult to drive LHD car in India, but this one's the worst of all. I don't know how Tata sends in a driver like this. He has a problem in calculation, inspite of that he is driving in a rash manner. I don't know when he is going to bang some one. He is dancing through all the lanes with this mighty SUV.

I'm not sure but this car is might be imported from any European country because it makes no sense to test a LHD car in India.

Tata has been exporting Safari's & Pick-Ups to quite a few countries over a period of time (More than a decade) to be precise. This must be one of the test mules being tested prior to introducing some upgrade to the export versions. Nothing new, friends!
European countries it is exported to - Italy, Spain, UK, Netherlands, Malta, Portugal, Greece are a few that come to mind at the moment.

I think the driver was having a joyride instead of testing the car and dancing through all the lanes. And it is just a test mule to be exported.

Oh yeh, it is available! And you know what, they ruined their image and a prospective market with bad product! They never tried to study the European market, specifications and requirement. They thought it is just like 'India' and launched the same old under powered safari with cheap quality plastic and interior. No security / crash test results were published. No airbag (even as an option)! And what else you can expect, they got the worst reputation ever !
Hope they will recover with Land Rover and Jaguar
