i like the speakers, the output, clarity and stuff are good for a hatch like m800, ill get polk on the front and if you look at it as a complete package i dont really like the appearence of the pioneer ovals which i have rite now, so to make it look good as a complete package, i was thinking about changing the whole set of speakers to polk, i liked the polk audio products , the are good at both performance and looks,

    Polk is not too good.
I listened to them in a car ( Swift ) and they sounded very mediocre.
Instead go for JBL 608 an JBL 938.

    4k and 2.5/3k
    without bill
    Very good VFM components.

    Good decision.
Yes polk are not worth the price at all. there are much better components in that price range.
Do confirm that you are getting JBL 608c.
If not go to another shop or let me know. I'll help you with some shops in Hyderabad

608c doesnt look good, the mesh on top specially, how about 500c or s265c?
and i dont think 6" components fit in my dorrs because i was not provided with any slots and i have to cut the door pads and install these

    Will 5.25" fit.
Or is it 4 inch slot?
I dont think cutting will be required for it.
Just get spacers etc and you are ready to go . :)
JBL GT5-S265C is also good enough. Looks good and must sound good too. On top its 6 inch so good mid bass

m800 doesnt fit anything on the front, no slot has been provided so i have to cut the door pad and drop these components, no other option for me, how much does these weigh by the way?

JBL GT5-S265C would not weigh more than 2-3 kilos either side. Thats the maximum they can.

    Yes.
Just tell that installer to make a spacer too.
    It would help.
I think 2-3kilos quoted was too much.
Very high end components weight that much.
I think these should be around 1-1.5. Not sure though.

    It can .
    Dont worry.
I have seen installs of compos of more than 2 kgs each being installed in 800.

EDIT : Just add a spacer around the speakers. It will give added stability to the compos.
