21Kpl is a very nice mileage for this car, How was the road condition when you got this much mileage?

    a) Good question, How about the road condition?
    b) More importantly is this a 2000 Isuzu diesel with a TCIC ?? ( Turbocharged intercooled diesel) or ordinary one.?
    c) Some where I read that HM's this engine (2000 ISUZU TCIC) is 75 HP and not 57 HP and its being used in Tavera (chevy-GM) .

I don't remember much, but it was on a highway trip. And at that time, i never saw a four-laned highway. So should be on normal roads only.
And regarding the engine, the one on Tavera is 2500cc engine, i guess. It is an Isuzu unit but assembled in India.
@JJ, 2000 ISUZU TCIC? that's a news to me. I never heard about a turbocharged Amby.
Reg. noise, you better check yourself for you satisfaction. Because we had this car some 4-5 years back and i don't remember much. But i could say it was better than any diesel Amby, because we had 1980s model Amby with Matador engine before and i was more familiar with Amby as many had Amby at that time in my close circle.

The Tavera engine is turbo charged ISUZU engine producing 80BHP. If you ever get a chance, take a ride in both vehicles and the similarity will be instantly noticeable.

I was not allowed to drive on highway at that time. It was our driver. I could assure you that we got no less than 16kpl in any kind of conditions. I guess 18 kpl would be average on highways. Will confirm by tomorrow.

The most powerful version of any Amby diesel of 2000cc puts out 56 BHP. It is the 2.9lt Avigo version. Rest all putting out 75 or 82 BHP are petrol versions with poor Fuel economy.

So there is no turbo version right? assuming the 56BHP to be NA.

We had Isuzu 2000 diesel, but it didn't have any turbo. I want to know whether there has been any addition of turbo in the past 4-5 years.
