Bharat Stage-IV to come into force in 2010!!

Hello Friends!
The Bharat Stage-IV will come into force next year, said Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) president Pawan Goenka. Regulations for emission levels are already the same for CNG and diesel under Euro-IV, a standard which the Bharat Stage-IV norms expect to meet. :)

So by 2010 many vehicles will be phased out or given new engine. BS-IV is only in urban limits right? Like in rural areas, it will not be levied.

What about the Amby? Does HM has enough funds to tune the engine or give a new engine or will it be phased out too?

Thats a good news, atleast now our environment is turning greener these days with EuroV cars & now its the turn of Bharat IV cars :)

I mean Bharat I is equivalent to Euro??

CC this new norms would be applicable in metro cities as for now, and not in rurals, they still would be having the older norms but lately it would cover whole nation, but as of now metro cities only, which means you can get i10 1.1 irde in rurals but in metros you need to buy 1.2 kappa.
