Yup. There are just no plans of Avanza's launch in India. Toyota still intends to pit the Innova against the Xylo.

I chose "other model". By that I mean to say a facelifted Qualis. I love the compact size and manoverability of Qualis. Although it won't be able to beat Xylo, it will be sold in decent numbers for sure.

If the Avanza can be priced in the 6-8 lac category, it will do very well, outselling not only the Xylo, but all others like the Sumo Grande, Chevrolet Tavera, etc. These vehicles will then, cease to exist.
