Hi friends, this is Rajat Sharma from New Delhi. I love yapping about cars all day long and love to drive and discuss things about automobile industry. We own a Santro xing 07, Mahinda Scorpio 06 and on 1st April Booked a FIAT Linea mild grey colour. Am excited about my new car and will get it on 13th April. Am a student still so enjoying my life.

Sorry, i missed mentioning the variant. I booked a Petrol Emotion Pack Linea. Expecting delivery next monday.

That's great car. Waiting to know more about your car, after you get delivery. Hope you will upload pics and a review too.

For sure friend. Will give a detailed review with pics. Also going out on a trip to himachal pradesh on 5th may which will cover highways, pothholed roads and the lovely mighty hills. Will update with that too.

Thats great coolboy, Fiat Linea is a perfect package according to me but yeah it has quite less power but still its overall a very nice car.I'm too waiting for pics and review of your new car.

I selected Linea after a lot of fighting out with my Dad :lol: I think tomorrow if i get time, will visit the dealer again and give him a warning that Give me Engine n Chasis no. or else i will cancel booking, its already 2nd day late. If i dont be strict, then i will also be kept waitin for a month.
Want the car by 15th as have to complete RUN IN here, cant strain engine in Hilly areas. So time till 5th may only.

My Friend has a Linea petrol and he visited Shirdi recently with his family. I got a very good feedback regarding Handling, he said he was negotiating turns at 60-80 kph band without any trouble. Phew!!!!! Thats looks good, mileage around 13 with AC at 16 degrees. Keeping fingers crossed regardin delivery.
Was promised Scorpio delivery in 3 weeks and got in 6th week that too didnt get choice of colour :frustration:

Tell the dealer that you might shift to another dealer if he doesnt give you the car.

Seems if tomorrow also he doesnt give me Engine and Chasis number, then i will tell him what you say,
he said he can even give me the car within 2 days, he is getting some "jugaad" in place, if it works then good for me. Now what can it be?
The TD petrol was a Emotion and am taking Emotion pack so he cant give me that car for sure.

Why did u agree for different colour of ur Scorpio? Today is not an era of Fort "T".. U always need to keep these dealers on toes.. Anyways, next time don't be soo co-operative..

Yes both of you are right. That time my problem was that i had sold my Esteem and had to travel in auto everyday. Got frustrated like hell and opted for the White my choice was silver though.
Now getting Silver in my Linea finally :lol:

Similar case happened when i bought my Swift in 2005( umm actually my parents bought it :D ). Another fellow customer taking delivery alsong with us opted for a blue Swift VXi, but the dealer convinced him to take home a green Swift LXi..

It looks as if the dealers give us cars and we donot buy them with our money.
