Yeah right archit. Four died on the spot and one was at the hospital. I didn't hear any news about that. But his condition was very critical, the chance of his survival was very less.

did some one say accidents?? i have a big collection of them, starting with my personal fav, my cousins accident, luckily hes out of danger after aa couple of weeks of bed rest

it happened recently, he ws almost asleep and was alone in the car, it was 2am and he started back to hyderabad from my native, we have single lane roads over there untill you reach the by pass road, and the truck driverrs are very popular for drinking and driving so the same thing happened which happened to most of them in my village, in order to miss the truck coming ahead he had to crash into the fencing, act the fencing was made by coconut leafs and my cousin thought he can get through them wihtout heavy damage but a coconut tree came in the way, look at this pic and u'll know

Spotted this Dzire on my recent trip to tirunelveli, tamilnadu.

Yeah only minimal damages. The occupants could have walked out easily. The bumpers, bonnet, headlamps are damaged and part of the body crushed in too. So radiator, intercooler and some other parts could have been damaged too.

have seen similar accident of dzire vdi near my factory, a auto hit the trunk of dzire and the owner was saying this has happened thrice before this and same kind of hit was done before with vehiles hitting his car;s trunk, was able to see few paint job and few scars on his car rear and boot.

Then i guess he'll be hard on brakes or might be his fate too :frustration: . Any ways this is a matter of tail gating.

I guess you are aware that the pic i posted, that Dzire hit on wall like thing and the bus is not related to the accident.

Well, This happens when the cops too don't follow the traffic rules, Spotted this totally crashed gypsy of Delhi Police today, which was being towed, Its front tyres were burst and a very bad smell of burning tyres and screeching sound was coming, You can also notice the smoke in pic.

Cops don't follow rules on many occasions. Especially travelling in wrong side of a one way section and parking in no parking zones.

i do see most of the cops here not wearing helmets, they too need to follow rules which never applies to them.

bmw 5series, all airbags got released, the accident was different, he jumped off the road across a canal and landed between 3 coconut trees, witness say that he was around 120kmph, its a single lane road and there was a turn where this incident happened

yp, only the one who was driving was in the car, this happened at 5am

My Scorpio accident happened last year when my car toppled over 3 times near UNA in himachal pradeshLast FEB 8 am UNA , Himachal pradesh , we 4 with my Dad driving ( 18 years Exp in Driving )in our 2006 Scorpio which had Trips to Himachal atleast 6 times before. 

Near Una on a Sharp right curve , it was a Single road with us at 60-70 Kmph and a Maruti 800 was in Our Lane coming from Opposite side , to save him Dad swerved to Left and 2 Left Tyres of Scorp went into Mud Side... Then Saw Dad a "gaddha" not a very Big one. We went into it and the Scorp Jumped up 2-3 feet in air , Dad had turned Steering to right to save frm gaddha and when the car Landed on Wheels from the Jump first it SPUN and then the WORST came expected from a Suv. 

We toppled 3 times and the car Came to Rest With Driver side Road on Door. As all 4 Occupants were wearing Seat Belts , nothing happened not even a Scratch. As Body of Scorp is Strong we Survived... Suprisingly there was no Damage to Engine as even after Toppling Engine was Running. 

We came in a Taxi back to Delhi , car was totally crushed under its own weight. Took 2 months for Mahindra to Repair and they Did such a Bad Repair Job that i Cried after seein the car , not even Dents were Properly removed. Build quality of Scorpio is good and noone was scratched added to the fact that even rear seats passengers were wearing seat belts because rear passengers get badly pushed to front wheneevr tyres of a scorpio lock otherwise their body parts would have surely fractured after 3 overturns.

rolled 3 times and still no scratch?? great, this is a tough vehicle

Sad to know about your Scorpio. A person in the service centre said that it is better to hit a cow, instead of trying to avoid it, in a Scorpio, as the result could be more worse. Scorpio is very poor in stability. Seatbelts are the saviour in any accident, hope all people realise this. And also many people who always drive in the middle of the road, instead of driving in left side, can be seen mainly in single roads. These people will adjust the car only when the oncoming vehicle comes close. But if they failed to judge the speed, then BOOM. It is safe to drive on the left. When we have everything on our side right, we can concentrate on other things.

My god, thats a one very big impact. Seems it went head on into another Suv or bus. Occupants will be injured but am sure everyone would have been safe provided they wore seat belts.
